Contents: Mother's Day/Ephesians 6:1-9
(Ephesians 6:1-9) “[1] Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right: [2] Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise [3] that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. [4] And fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord [5] Servants, obey your masters of the flesh with fear and trembling and with sincerity in sincerity, as to Christ, [6] blindfolded people Not as a pleaser, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God out of your heart, [7] serving with a sincere heart, as to the Lord and not to men, [8] for whatever good each one does, whether a slave or free. [9] Do the same to them, masters, and stop accusing them, for you know that they and your master are in heaven, and that there is no favoritism in him.”
(Matthew 22:37-40) 『[37] Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” [40] These two commandments are all the law and the prophets.”
The Bible is, in a word, relational.
The first requirement of the Lord is to establish a relationship of love with God vertically and to love Him.
And the second commandment is to establish a relationship of love with others vertically and to love them.
And to love God is to keep His commandments.
(1 John 5:3) “This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not heavy.”
Therefore, if he does not love his visible brother, he does not love God.
The first commandment of neighbor love is respect for parents.
This is what the Ten Commandments teach us.
Therefore, we must honor our parents. Even if they are already dead, you should respect them by thinking of them in your heart.
According to the principle of interpreting the Ten Commandments, this is a command to honor not only your parents but also your superiors.
So, it applies to the mother-in-law and, in the workplace, to the boss or the owner.
In today's text, he told us to not only cover our eyes, but to serve others as if we were serving the Lord from the center of our hearts.
love is unconditional It is not love when conditions are given to be loved. In fact, if you can't do things that are loved and choose only things you hate, you should love Grey too, but it's really difficult to do as a weak human.
