Isaiah 49
14. But Zion said, The LORD has forsaken me, and the LORD has forgotten me.
15. How can a woman forget her suckling child, and will she not have pity on the son of her womb? Even if they forget, I will not forget you.
16. I have engraved you on the palm of my hand; your walls are always before me
17. Your sons and daughters will return quickly, and those who destroyed you and desolate you will depart from you.
18. Lift up your eyes and look in all directions; they all gather together and come to you, declares the LORD, as I live, swearing by my life that you shall make all them adornment, and clothe them and gird them like a bride.
19. For your desolate and desolate places, and the land from which you were ruined, will now be narrowed down because there are many inhabitants, and those who swallowed you will go far away.
20. The children born in affliction will say in your ears in the future, 'This place is cramped for us, expand it so that we may dwell in it.
21. Then you will say in your heart, “Who has begotten this multitude for me? I have lost children, I am lonely, I am taken captive, I am wandering. Who brought up this company, I am alone, and where did this group come from?”
Luke 2
28. Simeon took the child and praised God, saying,
29. Now, Lord, you are letting go of your servant in peace, just as you said.
30. My eyes have seen Your salvation
31. This was prepared before all peoples.
32. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.
33. His parents marveled at the words about the child.
34. And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, saying, Behold, this child is set up for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign of slander.
35. And as a sword pierces your heart, so that the thoughts of the hearts of many may be revealed.

Text: Isaiah 49:14-21, Luke 2:28-35,
Yangju-dong poem, Lee Hong-ryeol's song 'Mother's Heart'.
1, Forgetting all my sufferings to be born
You are suffering until your hands and feet are worn out./ What can be said to be wide under the sky?/ Mother's grace is limitless.
2, when you are young, hold it, carry it, and freeze it
Wrinkles full of wrinkles on her pale forehead/What is higher on the ground?/Mother's devotion to the utmost.
3, there is only one wish in a person's heart / Only one thing in a mother's heart
A heart dedicated to cutting flesh and bones/What is sacred about a human being?/A mother’s love is unconditional.
They sang the love of a mother as holy. Holiness is the character of God (Leviticus 19:2). He told the chosen people of Israel to train this holy character. He said that the specific practice is reverence for parents and keeping the Sabbath (Leviticus 19:3). That is why it is said that ‘holiness and happiness’ and ‘holiness and love’ are inseparable. “There is no holiness without happiness/no joy without holiness/no love without holiness. When holiness disappears in happiness / When vulgarity dances / When joy loses holiness / When joy loses holiness / Only disappointment grows / Love without holiness / Only lies and hypocrisy remain'.
The relationship between the holiness of God and the holiness of Mother's love can also be found in the Bible. God's love for Israel, the chosen people, created in His image and chosen to fulfill the promise of divine love (Genesis 3:15; 12:1-3), is irresistible. When he spoke through the prophet Isaiah that it is an object of love that cannot be forgotten under any circumstances, he compared that unforgettable love to the love of a mother (Isaiah 49:14-16). He reminds me of a mother who can never forget her child who is breastfed in any case, a mother who has no choice but to have compassion on her son born from her womb. And that love is real. Salvation and safety are guaranteed (Isaiah 49:17-21). All the pain that a child goes through is with the mother. So, no hardship can be a sign of abandonment.
Today's New Testament text (Luke 2:28-35) is a song of joy for Simeon when he saw the baby Jesus, and it tells the pain of love that the mother must suffer because of her son. “I will pierce you as a sword pierces your heart. so that the thoughts of the hearts of many may be revealed” (Luke 2:35). Along with the words recorded in the Bible, mother's love has been called the embodiment of sacrifice. The contents expressed in the hymns (chapters 234, 304, 333) along with the biblical record prove this. Other expressions of mother's love are 'Mother's prayer, Mother's Bible, Mother's hymn'. Along with these expressions, the story of Heins Ward, the hero of the American Football Super Bowl on February 6th, goes beyond the ancient and ancient times and reminds us of the holiness of mother's love. It reminds me of the saying that God's love and mother's love are on this earth. God's love and Mother's love are the hope of the global village.
