Title: Mother's Service
Contents
“Whatever you do, do it with all your heart, as to the Lord and not to men.”
The spirit of service is born of God's love for people. Service is not done according to a command, but is done by oneself, and it may be a kind of grace received from birth with a heart of loyalty, regardless of those who are higher or lower than you. My mother (Kwonsa Lee Young-soon, Hwagok-dong Church) had such a personality.
I always try to imitate my mother's spirit of service and kindness, but now I am not able to put it into practice. However, what I have definitely learned from my mother is that "there is always room and time to serve and be kind to others." My mother's motto was, "Saving as much as possible, serving as many people as possible, at as many opportunities as possible, at every opportunity afforded." In this way, my mother, Master Youngsoon Lee, lived like that all her life. I want to live up to my proud mother's spirit of service.
The Bible says
“Blessed is the one who has good eyes, for he gives food to the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).
Treat each other without grumbling, and as each one receives a gift, serve one another as good stewards of God's various graces. that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is glory and power forever and ever, Amen” (1 Peter 4:9-11).
We should all take the lead in loving and serving our neighbors by following my mother, Master Youngsoon Lee.
* Prayer: Lord, who gives infinite blessings to those who love God, help us all to love God fervently and become people who receive great blessings. And help me to serve and radiate the light of love toward those in need around me. Help me to become a saint who is willing to find and serve things that others do not want to do. Entrust me with more things to serve, so that I can be used as your little instrument. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen
