Title: Mustard Seed Faith / Matthew 13:31-32
Mustard seed faith / Matthew 13:31-32
“Another parable he said to them, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field… ” (Matthew 13:31-32)
Word: Our Jesus taught us the words of heaven in parables. What we need to understand in today's text is that the Old Testament prophesied that the Messiah would be born to this earth continuously through the Old Testament, but if you look at the words of Isaiah, when Jesus was born on this earth, it came out of a very weak bud. The Lord, who was born in that weakness, is spreading the good news to many people on this earth as the good news that they can possess that great kingdom of heaven even today. Just as a mustard seed is a small seed to the human eye, but when it is planted in the ground and sprouted, it becomes a beautiful tree over 3m tall.
Dear brothers and sisters, if you try to have great faith from the beginning, it becomes weak faith. The secret to having great faith is to have faith the size of a mustard seed, not neglecting the little things. Because the mustard seed has life in it, it is said that when it fell to the ground and decayed, sprouted and grew into a large tree, birds came and nestled there. Although the gospel is small at first, it is a metaphor to spread and expand through our lips to bring about the perfection of faith that can possess the kingdom of heaven worldwide. We must not neglect even the smallest things. When we understand God's Word from small things, and believe and move forward with careful thought, we will be blessed with great fruits.
The Lord asks of us to have faith the size of a mustard seed. If you discard this mustard seed as a small seed, you cannot make a big tree. If you turn away from the small things, you will not be able to advance into life. Although Jesus Christ was born as a carpenter's son on this earth, the carpenter's son took on all our original sins and sins and showed us the cross, the hope of resurrection. As you witness and go forth, the kingdom of heaven spreads. Many people can be saved when a small amount of faith is united as one and when wrong hearts are overturned and come to the heart of the Lord. Don't forget that great faith starts with small faith. Now, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will become beautiful families with great faith.
