Title: My Beloved

My beloved (1 Corinthians 10:14-22)
I think the leadership of a good church is not only understanding the spiritual condition and lifestyle of the members with continuous interest and love, but also sympathizing with each member's heart with deep spiritual insight and leading according to the will of the Lord.
Because there is always a longing for God deep inside of us, but the daily reality we encounter every day and the clash of our lusts cover up this longing of our souls. And because the repetition of these clashes forms habits that are hard to break, and these habits plunge us into the sin of spiritual insensitivity and eventually forget love in a state of spiritual panic where we hurt ourselves and become indifferent to others.
:14 So then
The leader of the church, Paul, speaks to them with deep love and insight.
'Therefore,' Israel thus failed,
“My Beloved, Flee From Idolatry”
Even though Paul was far away, he knew that the Corinthians were going in and out of idolatry.
They knew that their spiritual condition had become “self-made as prophets” because of their pride.
But Paul is the shepherd who loves them.
So Paul can be firm with them.
Avoid idolatry!
“As to the wise,” he speaks.
You are wise, you are smart, and you have studied the Bible a lot, so you say, “Judge for yourself.”
We are 'wise men' who sin knowingly more than committing sins because they are foolish, ignorant, or unaware that this is a sin against God.
How refreshing are these words of Paul, “Judge yourselves”?
We have no choice but to bow our heads in front of these words and confess that we are sinners full of pride and hypocrisy, not different from the Corinthian Christians.
I can't help but look at myself, living on my legs in the world with God.
Paul, who could be truly free even if he ate the sacrificed food or not,
When we belong to God and become servants of the Lord, let us meditate on the meaning of being truly free.
can i be a servant
Can I become a servant who completely obeys and responds to the commands of the master, putting aside all my will, my thoughts, and my pride?
Paul was a renunciator of that freedom.
And I became a person who enjoys true freedom in the Lord.
In the Bible, we find that God's will of God is accomplished by obedience to God's powerful self-renunciation, and in the people of great faith in the Bible.
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Although he was in the original form of God, he did not regard equality with God as robbery.
Rather, he emptied himself and took the form of a servant, becoming in the likeness of men.
And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death.
death on the cross” (Philippians 2:5-8).
When we discover this will of God, we should pray and seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Then we will experience the power of God coming upon us.
That is what the cup of blessing and the bread we break unite us with Christ,
It is to make the various members of the community become one body through Christ, who is the one bread.
Paul sends a message of love for this unity to the faraway Corinthians.
And I'm adamantly telling them to realize.
His determination is conveying his deep love for the saints.
Because Paul is only a servant of the Lord.
‘Israel, after the flesh, becomes partakers of the altar,
The sacrifices made by strangers are to demons.”
To participate in the altar is to participate in a formal sacrifice,
To sacrifice to an idol is to sacrifice to the spirit behind it.
You can't be controlled by the devil by being formal and idolatrous.
The Bible clearly speaks of the existence of the devil.
We must become partakers of God and those who have fellowship with God.
Our God is a jealous God (Deuteronomy 5:9, 32:21).
Paul says:
We cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons,
We cannot participate at both the Lord's table and the devil's table.
The purity of my soul in my heart and holiness toward God
It points to the inability to live with the dregs of lust and attachment to emotions.
Because of this, God is angry and rebukes Him.
Paul, a slave but free, lives according to the thoughts and ways of the Lord.
We preach His commands, realize His love, and spread the Gospel.
So Paul can say.
“Flee from idolatry, my beloved.”
I pray to the Lord.
Come in us, to avoid the things we cannot do,
May I be emptied and filled with the Lord
May I become a servant and follow the thoughts and ways of the Lord
I hope that we can spread the gospel by walking with a heart of love toward the world.
Lord, the head of the church, bless the Children's Summer Bible School starting today!
May our beloved children and new arrivals meet the Lord here and live with the Lord in their hearts for the rest of their lives.
Whenever children think of today's Bible school for the rest of their lives,
May it be a blessed time for the Lord to rise.
Fill our teachers with the filling of the Holy Spirit and love. Amen.
