Title: My Dear Jesus (April 5, 2009)
Contents
Subject: My Dear Jesus
Word: 1 Peter 2:19-25
[19] It is a beautiful thing if you endure hardship by thinking about God, even when you suffer vaguely.
[20] What praise is there if we are beaten for sin and endure it? But if we suffer for doing good and endure it, this is commendable in the sight of God.
[21] To this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
[22] He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.
[23] When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
[24] He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness.
[25] Once you were lost like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.

Each of us will have pain and suffering. You will have life problems that are difficult to bear.
I think my pain is the biggest and my pain is the deepest, but there are surprisingly many people around us who have a much bigger pain than me. But nevertheless, we find that it is nothing compared to the sufferings that Jesus suffered.
Jesus' birth was the beginning of suffering. In [Philippians 2:6], it is written, 'He was in the form of God, but did not consider equality with God to be robbery'.
[Philippians 2:7-8] says, 'Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, and being made in the likeness of men, humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of a cross.'
The Bible records that Christ, who was originally God, came to this earth in the body of a servant, and it was painful just to humble himself, but he became obedient to death and died on the cross.
It is difficult to rise, but it is even more difficult to descend It's hard to gain, but harder to lose. However, I hope you know that the fact that God Himself became a human being, endured everything with great contempt, eventually tore His flesh and shed all his blood on the cross is the evidence of the Apostle Paul's gospel.
Jesus Christ, who is God, who came to this earth as the Son of God, what is wrong with calling Himself the Son of God?
Judas Iscariot sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. A disciple sold his master. The man who always ate and drank together sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. That's what makes it hurt.
Peter's wounds were also great. He was usually an aide to Jesus, and the first person to become a disciple was Peter. He always kept by Jesus' side and confessed his heart and faith whenever he had the opportunity. "I will never leave the Lord under any circumstances. I will go with you to prison and to death with you. Even if everyone else forsakes you, I will never forsake you. I will lay down my life for you." It was a great feat, and it was a very trustworthy promise.
However, on the night that Jesus was arrested, his great aspirations and promises collapsed like rotten pieces of wood. The night that Jesus was arrested was exceptionally cold. People gathered in the courtyard were igniting bonfires here and there and talking about what would happen to Jesus. Peter was there. But there was a woman who recognized Peter. It was a woman who worked in someone else's house. Then Peter said, "I don't know Jesus, really, I have never known or worked with Jesus. I have never seen such a person." Peter denied and cursed Jesus three times.
If you look at [John 21], it is recorded that the resurrected Lord met the disciples including Peter at the Sea of Galilee. It was early in the morning, and Jesus had a bonfire and was waiting for the disciples who had gone fishing. When I started talking to Peter, I asked him three times. Jesus asked Peter three times. “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” It was a decision for a fresh start. "I accept you. I love you. So let go of the pain in your heart and start fresh."
Judas' betrayal and Peter's betrayal must have been very traumatic. The pain wasn't the only one. [A crown of thorns on his head, nails in his hands and feet, and a spear in his side]. If you look at the movie The Passion of the Christ, this scene is well portrayed.
Jesus was crucified like this even though he had no fault, no fault, no sin.
In [Hebrews 7:26], it says, 'Holy, innocent, undefiled, departed from sinners, and was exalted above the heavens'. In [Hebrews 9], it is recorded that 'He offered Himself without blemish to God' and 'He had nothing to do with sin'. Jesus Christ, without blemish, without sin, without spot, my beloved Jesus! The suffering He suffered on the cross cannot be compared to any other suffering.
If you look at [Luke 23:44 and below], it is recorded that 'The sun lost its light and the whole earth became dark for three hours at the time that Jesus died. The veil of the sanctuary, so treasured by the Jews, was torn in two. Those who watched it beat their chests and were sad. In [1 Peter 2:19-23], Peter, who witnessed the sufferings of Jesus most closely, courageously confessed the sufferings of Jesus. In verse 21 we read, “The sufferings of Christ are sufferings for you. He suffered for you.' If we look at [verse 22], it says, 'He suffered neither sin nor death.' In verse 23, it says, “When he was reviled, he did not revile; when he suffered, he did not threaten” [verse 24], “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree” is Peter’s It was testimony.
Everyone, why did you suffer? You suffered for me. Why did you die? He died for my sins. for me! My beloved Jesus suffered for me and took up the cross.
☞Dear Sandoll Saints~
How should we live? I believe that we should live by repaying that kindness and love. You must not betray. We must fully follow the path of the Lord. There is no glory without suffering. There is no resurrection without the cross. For the sake of the Lord~ For the sake of my beloved Jesus~ We have to endure loss, hardship, and humiliation. Only then will the glory and blessing be mine. In the name of the Lord, I earnestly pray that you will follow the Lord of suffering as you look beyond suffering to the new dawn of glory, and beyond suffering to the day of victory.
