After I met the Lord at dawn in early spring 50 years ago and knew the gospel, I fell and stood up countless times to build my faith before God until now. However, in the end, the faith I have now remains only as a form of faith. In the end, my faith is only an illusion of Christ, and I did not know what to do when I saw that the reality of Christ was not in me.
In this way, I had no strength to rise again, and this dawn, God's arm, the word of the Bible, held me up. The Lord of faith, Jesus, woke us up this morning with the words, “Faith in Christ Jesus.” These words have already been placed in my mind and have already been written in my heart. I got up quickly and searched the Bible again.
“The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 1:14). Amen.
“Those who do well in the office of deacons gain great confidence in a beautiful position and in the faith that is in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 3:13). Amen.
“By the faith and love that is in Christ Jesus, keep imitating the right word that you have heard from me” (2 Timothy 1:13). Amen.
“And from your youth you have known the Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). Amen.
Through “faith in Christ Jesus”.... With these very words, he anointed a lamp that was going out this morning and brought it back to life, holding me up and giving me new life by the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Up until now, I have tried my best to establish my own righteousness with my faith, and because of this, I have lost everything in the world and my life has been ruined. However, the end of my faith so far has been nothing but a shell.
This was the result of not submitting to the faith in Christ Jesus, even though I had already received Christ 50 years ago, but did not know the faith that was in Christ Jesus. Now that I think about it, “I did not know the righteousness of God, and, trying to establish my own, did not submit to the righteousness of God” (Romans 10:3). The prodigal son who left his father's house for the sake of his father's life had been living a disgraceful life. It was because I did not know the truth I should have known.
He found me again this morning and embraced me with the right arm of the Word. In the meantime, even though I knew the truth, I didn't know what I ought to know, so I wandered around in the illusion of my faith for 50 years. Now that the Spirit of truth has made known the mystery of faith, from now on, I will throw away all my disgraceful faith and live only by the faith that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, from now on, the peace of Christ will rule over me in the faith and love that is in Christ Jesus.
The Word is always new even if you read it over and over again. This is the meaning of the words of “If anyone thinks he knows anything, he still does not know what he ought to know” (1 Corinthians 8:2).
Meanwhile, I knew that I was committing a great sin to establish my righteousness by my faith outside of Christ Jesus. Now I confess this great sin before the Lord. The Lord was already waiting for this confession. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Amen,
I have strayed from God's righteousness and wandered in all unrighteousness. But from this day on, I rejoice with the truth in the faith and love that is in Christ Jesus.
Lord! How happy would it be if everyone knew the secret of this joy? Thank you Lord.
