Title: My Good God
Content Title: My Good God
Bible: Deuteronomy 32:9-14
We have a desire to experience and know God closer, more clearly and surely. There are people who say they believe in God, but do not know who God is and think of God vaguely. In the Old Testament, there is a person who understands God best, and that is Moses. Moses had many direct experiences with God from birth to death. In particular, while leading the Israelites in the wilderness, they encountered God directly, heard His voice, saw various miracles, and experienced God's power. There is a last lesson left before dying while walking with God, and that is the content of this text. This is a lesson that we should experience the same good God that we experienced throughout our lives.
That God is, first of all, the God who protects us like the pupil of the eye (verses 9, 10). Second, He is a God who trains like an eagle (verses 11 and 12). Third, He is the God who feeds us satisfactorily (verses 13, 14).
First, God is the protector and protector of His people. "The LORD met him in the wasteland, in the howling wilderness, and he guarded him, he guarded him, he kept him like the pupil of his eye. Our God gives us wrath, lifts up the whip and strikes us, and reveals our little mistakes and transgressions. He is not a God who is just nervous and rebukes. He comes to us in a compassionate way and forgives all our sins. He is a good God who loves us.
Then, God trains us.
Again, please read the text carefully. Moses shows a completely different image of God this time. God is compared to a young eagle. If you have children, you will feel the variety of parental love. There is a father's hand lifting a stick, and a mother's caressing a wound. God does not always protect us like the pupil of the eye. I see you train them as harshly as an eagle treats their young and build them up with greater faith. According to the text, eagles disturb the nests of their young. It is pulled out of a warm nest and placed on a high cliff for training. A mother eagle takes her young and climbs into the high skies and mercilessly drops them to the ground. The cub then screams "I'm dead" and falls to the ground. Just before falling to the ground, a mother bird flew over and took it to the sky with its powerful wings. Repeat this exercise.
Finally, God makes us satisfied with beautiful things. In Text 13:14, “He makes them eat the produce of the fields. He feeds them with the honey of the rock, the milk of the cows, the milk of the sheep, and the beautiful wheat and wine.” If we dwell in God, our lives can also enjoy abundant life and become graceful. Psalm 107:9 “He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry with good things.” If you believe in and obey this good God, He will fill you with good things. He is the one who gives rain and wind for a while, then warm wind and bright light. Dear saints, I hope that you will overcome all the worries and worries of this world with the faith that ascends high. How specifically do you encounter this good God in your daily life? Our God is a God who watches over us, a God who trains us, and a God who satisfies us with good things. Amen
