Title: My Help?
Contents
If I still have a wish for my help, it is clear that I am still alive, who believes in the fact that I was crucified with Christ Jesus on the cross in the love of God and died there.
“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20) is still only on my lips.
If the fact that “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” has been fulfilled in me, then my help should be not from me, but from Christ Jesus, the Son of God, who gave himself up for me and now lives in me.
Those who seek the help of the flesh are still in the flesh, and those who seek the help of the spirit are now in the spirit. That is why the Bible testifies, “He that is after the flesh sets forth the things of the flesh, and he that is after the Spirit sets forth the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:5-6). is.
However, those who claim that my sinful body was crucified and died with the human Jesus, and that he was raised with the Son of God with an unconfirmed death by being pierced in his side and drenched in water and blood, must still be in himself. As human life remains, the battle between the body and the spirit does not stop.
That's why the Bible testifies, "The flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit lusts against the flesh, for the two oppose each other, so that you cannot do what you want" (Galatians 5:17).
However, regarding those who, according to the word of faith, grew up in the faith of a child in the flesh and eventually attained maturity in faith, and offered whole burnt offerings (the carcass) on the Lord's altar, the Bible says, "Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above. where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, think of things above, and do not think of things on earth, for you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God. will appear” (Colossians 3:1-4).
All these marvelous works are gifts from God that come only from those who are in Christ Jesus by precious faith. This is what the Bible calls salvation. It is the same as the words of the evidence that it is written, “It is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).
Therefore, those who have won the gift of God's help, which is Christ, boast only in Christ, and all boasting is in Christ alone. It is written, “You are of God, and you are in Christ Jesus, who came from God and became to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, so that as it is written, He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31) It is the same as the words of the testimony.
This is why the Bible says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where will my help come from? My help is from the God who made heaven and earth. God will not let you stumble, and his keeper will not sleep. He will not sleep either” (Psalm 121:1-4).
Therefore, the children of God who receive help only from God in Christ Jesus do not wait for help from men. It is the same as it is written, “Do not trust in the man, for his breath is in his nostrils, where is it worthy to be numbered?” (Isaiah 2:22).
So, now that God helps me, he does not help me, but Christ who lives in me. Therefore I give glory to the Lord alone! Amen, thank you Lord.
