Title - My Help Jehovah
Until now, people believed that the more scientific civilization developed, the better life, more comfortable and safer life.
However, in today's world, where we are receiving more benefits from science than ever before, we have to face bigger disasters and live a more insecure life.
That is why people rely on various insurances for their own safety, and they are working tirelessly to overcome their anxiety through a lot of wealth.
However, such efforts only deceive themselves, not the true prescription for their own safety.
The surest way to protect yourself from all kinds of calamities, tribulations and fears is to stay under the wings of God's protection.
Indeed, God depends on you and protects and protects the people gathered under your wings as follows.
☞ Yahweh, Maker of Heaven and Earth: This title for God is found in this Pilgrim's Song and 115:15; 124:8; 134:3; It appears in other psalms such as 146:6. God's creative power and majesty, in contrast to the futility of the foreign gods, had a great influence on the hearts of the people of Israel, especially during the time of exile.
This is well expressed in Jer 10:11, 12.
“Thus you shall say to them, The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth under this heaven.”
Yehwa - Give the driver's seat of your life to the Lord
Two cars were driving down the highway.
One was an ambulance that was running to help people in pain, and the other was a sedan of the latest model, but it was running precariously by overtaking other cars and encroaching on the center line while driving wildly on curves.
In the end, it was about to cause a crash that would take the lives of several people. What is the fundamental difference between these two vehicles and their behavior?
engine. the shape of the car body. difference in values. no. The only difference was who sat in the driver's seat.
One was a man of mercy and the other was a drunken driver.
This is the difference between a failed, callous, and uninfluenced Christian and a happy, fruitful, and influential Christian.
It's about who sits in the driver's seat of life. The question is who is driving in the driver's seat of your mind.
Aren't we the ones who don't know what's going to happen in a second? Is it Jesus Christ, the Creator and the eternal Son of God?
Is it me who is finite, exhausted, and burdened with heavy burdens?
Is Jesus the Almighty King of Love? faults and diseases. Am I myself trying to run in a hurry while running at the crossroads of hate and jealousy without knowing the destination of my life?
Or is it Jesus Christ, the loving Shepherd who opens the map of eternal life to the Father (the Bible) and guides it.
Give up the driver's seat of your life.
Give him the key to the control room of the heart, and let him sit on his throne.
1. Keeping with sincerity
The people of the world squeeze a lot of effort and wisdom for their own safety.
Thus, the walls of the house are built high, and the safe is locked with a strong key.
But do you know that he can sleep peacefully?
I can't.
As the wall is built high, his worries and anxiety only grow deeper.
However, those who have God as their King can be completely free from such worries.
Why?
This is because God watches over us thoroughly without blinking an eye, and works for our safety.
The psalmist spoke about God's faithful work through the following words of today's text,
“The Lord will not let you stumble, and his keeper will not sleep.
He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
We will receive this absolute protection forever until the day we go to heaven.
Yehwa - Water of Life
There was a jeweler who collected unusual gems.
One day, the jeweler who heard that there were diamonds beyond the desert began to cross the desert with an indomitable will.
The sun is burning in the boring desert. He was getting increasingly thirsty and weary.
Shortly thereafter, he collapsed in the middle of the scorching desert, near death.
But just then he saw a bucket of water in front of him.
He quickly opened the jug and tried to drink.
However, jewels, not water, poured out of the bucket.
Then, instead of being happy, the jeweler got angry and threw the jewels away.
To those who are dying for lack of water, precious stones are nothing but precious stones.
Likewise, the wealth and honor of the world are just a bubble for a soul who dies because there is no water of eternal life.
2. Guarded by the Almighty Hand
The military has a mission to protect the country.
However, the military cannot completely protect the lives and property of the people.
Sometimes they are weak and cry out, and they can collapse on their own due to internal corruption and faults.
But the God who protects us does not protect us poorly or protect us adequately.
With his almighty hand, he keeps even one of our hairs from harm, and keeps us safe.
Jesus said in a clear tone in the words of Luke 21:17 and below,
He promised, “You will be hated by all because of my name, but not one hair of your head will be hurt.”
Indeed, God will keep us with His outstretched arm and strong hand, and will keep our souls safe from all the tribulations we will face in our lives.
Yehwa - How to cure self-deprecation
All of us are easily discouraged when trouble comes and we feel that everything is going wrong. One way to overcome these feelings is to remember what other believers endured in the service of Christ.
Consider the life of David Brainard (1718-1747), missionary to North America. He writes:
“The food is mainly corn porridge, boiled corn, brazier bread, and occasionally some meat and butter. The sleeping area is a pile of straw laid on the planks... The ministry is very difficult and difficult. These and many other uncomfortable conditions surround me.
But my spiritual conflicts and worries outweigh all of these, so I can hardly think about these environmental difficulties. Rather, I feel like a person who lives in a very luxurious way.”
It helps us to think of the experiences of people like David Brainard, but it is even more helpful to think of what our Lord Jesus has suffered for us.
The most effective way to cure the self-deprecating phenomenon is to remember the suffering of our Lord on the cross and to live with the joy that we will enjoy when he returns in glory (1 Peter 4:1; 13).
Our own lives are endlessly hopeless, but we can sing of joy nonetheless because God is with us every day and helps us.
I hope you no longer depend on yourself or the world, but hold on to God and live your life victoriously.
