Text: Acts 10:1-7
Hymn: 349 (I want to be helped by the Lord)
The words that you hear the most in the prize are gentleman and home. Home is a place of dreams and laughter, a place that sometimes gives joy and sorrow, a place that gives courage and hope and sometimes disappoints. What is our family's wish to become the happiest place in life? Today we are going to find the answer in the Bible. The model of the home is that of the centurion of Caesarea, Cornelius.
A family is like a small government. The role of the head of the family is to create a happy family by living an exemplary and exemplary life. The role of a godly and good father is to become a parent who is recognized and loved at home. Cornelius became a good husband to his wife and the best father to his children by living a godly life. A godly and good parent can set a good example for their children, but a parent who does not set an example can have a bad influence on their children and ultimately ruin their lives. will be
In 2 Timothy 1:5 it says, “Because you are thinking of a faith that is not false within you, which first was in your maternal grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am convinced that it is also in you.” Children who have a godly father must have a godly character.
Cornelius's family was a family in which the whole family was united and served God well. The result was an exemplary family of faith in which children obey their parents. What is unfortunate around us is that the whole family is united in faith and is blocking God's blessing. The wish of our family should be the slogan of 'a family that only serves God well'.
(Joshua 24:15) If it does not seem good to you to serve the LORD, choose today whom you will serve, whether it is the god your ancestors served beyond the river, or the god of the Amorites in your land, but me and my house will serve the LORD. Nora
Cornelius did not pray formally, but lived a life of prayer all the time. A life of prayer is an exercise of godliness, a life of humility, and a life of daily checking my life before God. Because Cornelius prayed all the time, he protected himself and earned the respect and approval of all men. When we exalt God, God exalts us in the presence of many. Therefore, the life of prayer is like the lubricant of our life. When you pray, you gain strength, problems are solved, you are guided on your way, it becomes a channel of grace, and it becomes the basis for blessings.
Relief is an expression and evidence of our faith. No matter how many prayers and great confessions of faith we have made, if there is no evidence of life, it is a dead faith. It is said that it is a blessing to use it (1 Tim. 6:17-19). True godliness is a life of contentment, helping the weak and taking the lead in good works.
conclusion
Cornelius' faith and life were remembered and blessed by God. (Acts 10:31; he said, Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your alms.) Our family will also become a family that God will remember and prosper. May you be blessed.
