Title: My True Healer/Isaiah 53:1-6

Content: My true healer/Isaiah 53:1-6

“By his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:1-6).

The text shows that God views our transitions as diseases. 'By his wounds we are healed', Here is God's wonderful love and mercy. Sin is clearly rebellion against God. So stop judging.

But God does not do that, but considers sin a disease and wants to deliver us from disease. However, all other diseases can be cured with medicine, but the disease of sin can only be cured with blood. Since the wages of sin is death, we have no choice but to die in order to be delivered from sin. 'Without shedding of blood there is no remission' So, through the many sacrificial systems of the Old Testament, people were cleansed by the blood of animals and came to God. All the sacrifices of the Old Testament are the shadow of the cross. Now God delivers us from the sickness of sin by sending Jesus Christ to this earth to die in our place.

The Lord was beaten first. The whip that had to be struck upon my sinful body was struck by the sinless body of Jesus. The whip is a terrifying whip with a tip of lead, iron, or bone.

The Lord wore a crown made of thorns. The crown of thorns is intentionally made slightly smaller than the head. Then he places the crown of thorns on his head and presses it down with a plank. The thorns then dig into the head. The head that plans evil, envy, hates, and resents is my head. But we do not have to wear the crown of thorns because the sinless Lord received the crown of thorns instead. Also, the Lord was nailed to the nail.

The word 'pierced' has the meaning of 'to make a hole'. Square rusty nails made holes in the Lord's hands and feet. Then he continues to hang high on the cross until he dies. He ran because of the sins of our hands and feet. The fear of crucifixion is that the suffering is long. On the cross, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” The pain from the bleeding is manifested as an unbearable thirst along with a severe headache. No, the thirst of the Lord was our longing for salvation. That is why he longed so much for me to be freed from sin, to be forgiven, and to become a child of God. And the Lord was forsaken by the Father as He said, “Eli, Eli, Lama, Sabachthani.” Because he was forsaken, we were accepted by God. By his discipline we are healed.
