Title: My wife is silent
Contents
Key Verse: “The Lord brought great plagues upon Pharaoh and his house because of Sarai, Abram’s wife.” (Genesis 12:17)
Wealthy Hymn: 432
▣ Open the door of your heart
He knows the way we must go. He knows that I don't have to take the path I want to go, but that I have to take the path I want to go as the path that God leads. The way I have lived so far and the way I am living now are proof of that. Because of this evidence, we must take our future path as He wants us to rather than take it as our own path. When that road becomes my way, our life will hum with joy like the excited heart of a young bride on a cauldron. How happy a couple would be if they went down that road together, but even after meeting a husband who was like a young man, they watched the life of a wife who silently walked along the road, and instead of hoping that this kind of wife would be my wife, I hope they become husbands who believe that they are my wife. Let's talk about what kind of wife our wife is.
▣ Examine the Word
1) Where does Abram go because of famine in that land (Genesis 12:5=Land of Canaan)? (:10)
2) What was the first thing Abram did when he arrived in Egypt? (:11-13)
3) Why did you take these urgent measures? (:11-14)
4) What did Pharaoh's dignitaries do to the woman (Sarai), as Abram expected? (:15)
5) What were the wedding items that Pharaoh presented to Abram in order to take Sarai as his wife?(:16)
6) But, what did the Lord bring to Pharaoh's house (the palace) because of this? (:17)
7) What action did the quick-witted Pharaoh take toward Abram? (:18-19)
8) What actions did the servants take in response to Pharaoh's emergency measures (orders)? (see:20, Gen 13:1-2)
▣ Apply the Word
1. Just as the Lord gave his body to build a church, how can a husband who should protect his wife by throwing himself away sees a poor husband (Abram) who introduces his wife as a sister by disguising himself to live alone? Should I understand and deal with it?
2. Nevertheless, how can we understand that God sends s to Pharaoh's house (palace) to keep the tradition and prevent it?
▣ The resolution of the word
The couple must be one. It is not God's desire for a wife to become a sister (another individual=neighbor). We must not forget that we need wisdom, courage, and faith to ensure that no matter what crisis, danger, or temptation there may be, such a situation does not happen in our tradition.
