Title: Mystery (Ephesians 1:7-10)
Obviously the text begins with that then. What time are you talking about then? It refers to the time when the Lord revealed the reason for going to Jerusalem. As soon as those words were finished, a huge wind of skirt appeared. It is a triple typhoon. The wife of three generations appeared and asked for something. So, what does the Lord want? Then the woman asked for two sons. One is to sit at your right hand and the other at your left. What parent doesn't want their sons to do well? Everything is there. But obviously, don't expect anything from your children. Raise well but give up so that you live comfortably in old age. Then what is the Lord's answer? It is said that you do not know what you are asking. Here, you can see that the wife of this three generations was looking for something she did not want her son to secretly, but the mother did not. The Lord is clearly answering you. In the end, it can be seen that these two sons promoted this work through their mother.
In particular, in Mark 10:35, it is said that it was not made by a mother, but by two people. And these James and John are said to be relatives of Jesus. Her name is Salome, and she is believed to be Mary's biological sister. Then the Lord said, “Can you drink the cup I am about to drink?” He said, “I can. What kind of cup does Jesus want to drink? Is it a big cup? Can't you drink it because it's too big? Rather, the cup that the Lord is about to drink means the cup of death, the cup of suffering, and the cross. To say you can do it means you can't. In other words, the suffering Jesus suffered is the suffering of atonement, but how can humans do it? That's it. To put it simply, do you want to die? They say yes without knowing. Yes, die, and when the Lord is running on the cross, they all run away.
Here's a saying. Being ignorant means being brave. Verse 23 says that those who have been prepared by God the Father can drink the cup of the Lord. What does it mean? It is about following the way of the Lord. Later, they clearly walk the way of the cross. And it is said that it is not for me to give to sit on either side of me. This is not to say that the Lord has no rights, it is grace, that is, what you should be concerned with is whether you follow the Lord or not, not the reward. Then there was a riot. The rest of the disciples were indignant. In the end, all of the disciples are not interested in the ancestral rites but only the ashes. Over and over, the Lord taught us that the world and heaven are opposites, but they still care about the world and discover that they still live with the world's values and views of success. So the Lord is teaching us the principle of heaven once again.
