Title: Mystery of the Gospel (1 Timothy 3:16)
[1 Timothy 3:16]
[16] ♠ Great is the mystery of godliness, no one says it is not, for he was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached in the nations, believed in in the world, and taken up in glory.
The word secret in the text refers to mystery. Religion literally means becoming like the disposition of God. It's not mysticism. The gospel is a mystery itself. The mystery of the gospel can be understood in five ways.
The first is the mystery that God, who creates the universe and leads the universe, leads each person.
It refers to the mystery that God, the master of the great universe, has a personal relationship with me and guides me. Because we have such a belief, there are far more people who believe so, but do not believe so. For example, Einstein stated his view of faith in a book called Universe Religion, I believe in God the Creator. “I believe that God has placed order in the universe,” he said. So far we have the same thoughts. But finally, he says, “I cannot believe in a personal God.” After reading this, I am grateful that I am not as smart as Einstein. We must live our lives by exalting and praising the God of character.
The second is the mystery that God came into the world in human form.
John 1:14 [The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.] In theology, the Word is divided into three parts. First, the Word of God, that is, the Word that became flesh (Jesus), the second, the written Word (the Bible), and the third, the Word that is preached (sermon). Church is not a place to go because it is close. I want to teach that the church should choose a church where the Word is properly proclaimed. Isn't going to a nearby church just the same as marrying the wife and wife who lives nearby when you get married? The Word became flesh. This is a mystery. There is depth in the verse that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. In the English Bible, it is expressed that we live in tents with us, which means that you are living with us now, just as you lived and moved in a tent-like tent in the wilderness era. It says [full of grace and truth]. The fullness of grace and the fullness of truth are Seongryeong.
Third, God came in a low form, suffered and died.
It's unimaginable. When you think about how the master of the universe could be beaten and how he could die, there is no such thing as a mystery. Mark 10:45 [The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many] He came to serve the lowest of all. He came to serve enough to give his life for him.
The fourth is the mystery of the resurrection.
It is the mystery of the resurrection from the victory over sin and death. The incident where he came to raise Lazarus from the dead is that it is not the problem that he came to save Lazarus. He is saying that I am the resurrection and that I am the life. John 11:25 [Jesus said to me, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" Those who believe in me will never die. He is talking about what the life of faith is in one word. John 10:10 [The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly] That we may have life and have the abundant life. We must learn to enjoy life. It should be an exciting, rewarding, and exhilarating life by living a life that knows how to enjoy the Gospel. It should be fun and exciting to come to church and full of joy in believing in Jesus.
It seems that there are more things that don't go the way you think life goes. When there is no problem, when there are trials and frustrations, nevertheless, I hope that you will be able to believe that God is with you, feel and realize it with your heart, by holding on to the Holy Spirit, like baked bread, the Word, and a bottle of water. Through this process, we believe that the fullness of life will be transformed into the fullness of grace.
I will pray. Sometimes I blamed God and blamed myself through setbacks in the American land in Korea. Nevertheless, I believe that God is giving us strength and strength through the comfort of God who took care of Elijah, and is preparing for a blessed tomorrow. May there be emotion and victory in our lives.
