Title: Mystery of the Resurrection Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-19
1 Corinthians is the epistle written by Paul in Ephesus to solve the problems of the Corinthian church. The city of Corinth is a city with a well-developed commerce, and when there is a lot of money, lewdness and decadence prevail. Paul took a special interest in these cities and started pioneering them during his second missionary journey. So Paul stayed in Corinth for 18 months to preach and teach the gospel. In 1 Corinthians 2:3, Paul describes his feelings when he first planted the church in Corinth as follows. 1 Corinthians 2:3 “I was weak and fearful and terrified when I dwelt among you.” Corinth was a city where sin was so rampant that Paul feared, and the people were harsh and stubborn. The church that was started and established in this way was the church in Corinth. But one day, a heartbreaking news came to Paul about the Corinthian church. The news was that the church was struggling with various noisy problems. So Paul hurriedly wrote 1 Corinthians. 2 Corinthians 2:4 1 Corinthians is a letter written with tears. With a bloody heart, I wrote a love letter to the saints with tears.
1. Resurrection is a fact.
2. It is the relationship between the meaning of Jesus' resurrection and salvation.
If it had only been for the crucifixion of Christ, we would not be where we are today. The greatest strength that the Church has been able to reach today after thousands of years has been possible not only through the cross of Christ but also because of the resurrection of Christ. It is because of the hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ that so many martyrs have been able to stand proudly in the face of death, in the face of their hunger, and in the spear of their enemies. That's why Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:17, "Unless Christ is raised, your faith is in vain, and you are still in your sins." Without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, first of all, we would still be in our sins and our faith would be in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:17 Without the resurrection of the second Jesus Christ, we cannot have hope for the kingdom of heaven. Third, without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we would be the most pitiful people in the world. However, because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jesus became the first fruits of those who slept, and we also have the blessing of resurrection, the fruit of the second resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:20-22
3. The appearance after the resurrection is a glorious image. (Verses 35-38)
