Title: National Salvation

When Jesus called Peter, who was a fisherman, to be his disciple, he said that he would make him a fisher of men, not a fisher of fish. These words are the words that set the missionary mission to all believers as well as Peter. Comparing the missionary mission to fishing has a deep meaning. When you hear the word 'fishing', you can imagine fortress city dwellers carrying fishing rods and going out into rivers, lakes or the sea to fish. This is to think of it as a means of leisure for city dwellers who see fishing as an entertainment. If you catch a single crucian crucian carp, the price is multiplied by several times the price of the crucian carp, and you do not compare it to missionary work. In this Bible, Jesus instructs Peter to catch fish all night, but fails to catch any fish, saying, "Throw your net into a deeper sea." When they threw it, they caught so many fish that the nets were torn. At this time, Jesus said to Peter, "Now you will become fishers of men." From that time on, Peter became a disciple of Jesus.
When we compare missions to fishing, we can say that fishing by fishing is also a personal evangelism method. It is a matter of evangelizing one by one. But here, Jesus showed us how to catch the nets so that the nets are torn all at once, not one by one. From this point on today, I believe that the missionary mission of the Korean church should be conducted at least in terms of national salvation, and I am paying more attention to these words.
There is no other country in the East where Christianity has established itself as a national religion except in the Philippines. With the exception of the United States of America on the North American continent, most western countries or peoples in the world have a single church in a single nation-state. Even if that church is not the national religion of the country, it is deeply rooted as a national religion. I hope that Korea, which has stood on the basis of Buddhism and Confucianism in this Eastern Hemisphere until today, should now establish Christianity as a national religion.
Looking at the international situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula today, we believe that the only way for this people to live is to completely enter the path of faith in God. The only way to unify this divided nation into one nation today is to clearly state that it is only possible by standing on the ideology of Christ's love, reconciliation, freedom, and equality. The only way for this small country and a large population to be economically prosperous and live on this earth is by thoroughly applying the economic ethic of mutual aid in Christ. The only way for our people to create a new culture on the international stage and to contribute to human culture is based on the world religion, Christian culture.
Of course, other peoples and countries will also need it, but for the 50 million people, our Korean people, the truth of our gospel and the gospel of Christianity must be thoroughly established as the religion of this nation. Because Korea is the one that God showed the most possibility of national salvation in all of Asia, the Korean church cannot but be in the position of a bystander sitting with arms crossed and watching the fate of the Korean people and the path of a liberal democracy. is. Now, the Korean church is so deeply involved and deeply responsible for the national destiny of the Korean people. Now, within the next 10 years, it will be 100 years since the Korean missionaries came to this land, and the task of the Korean church to spread the gospel from now on is to save the nation.
In Korea, today, the Christian population is about 4 million and the church is about 105,000. It is not enough to be self-sufficient, but 50 million Korean people must be counted as a Christian population. The goal is to be clear about what needs to be set. In addition, the goal of our Korean church should be that all sovereignty in this country must be moved by the hands of believers who have fully mastered the spirit and thought of Christ. I know that you have seen reports of newspaper correspondents who recently traveled to Eastern Europe. Although there are still churches in communist-swept regions or countries where more than 95% of the population is dominated by Christianity, the day when the ideal state of freedom and equality can be established again in the name of Christ. This is what we see as promised. Therefore, our church, which has such a mission to save the nation, is really trying to spread the command of Jesus, the net of national salvation, the core of this nation's history, and the nation's path to save this nation collectively without exception You have to find a way.
