Title: Nature Created by God
nature created by God
Text: Romans 1:20
“From the foundation of the world his invisible things, even his eternal power and divinity, have been clearly seen and made known by all things that have been made; therefore they are without excuse.”
Hudson Taylor got on a boat to go somewhere. However, there was no wind, so even if there was a sail, the boat just followed the waves and flowed to the cannibal's island. The captain is startled, but the cannibals who saw the ship approaching were already shouting for joy. When the situation became urgent, the captain came to Hudson Taylor, who was reading the Bible.
"Pastor, Pastor. We are all dead. This boat is going to the cannibal village. There is no wind and it is flowing along the waves. Please pray quickly."
He is a captain who does not believe in Jesus, but he is so urgent that he asks the pastor to pray. The pastor prayed earnestly.
"God, please let the wind blow. It's a big deal. Let the wind blow."
The captain shook the pastor who was just praying.
"Pastor, Pastor. Stop it. The wind is blowing so hard right now, it's a big deal." Hallelujah!
Thus, the Lord is the ruler of the waves and the wind.
“Jesus awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Be still, be still.’ Then the wind stopped and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39).
So let us pray and ask the Lord without fear of anything.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).
We are sometimes fascinated by the sound of waves on the beach. Listening to the sound of the waves that constantly come and go makes you feel closer to the essence of life. In particular, the sound of the waves crashing in the sea at night calms our hearts. And while listening to the sound, we marvel at the power of the waves that gradually cut the sand of the huge beach. Every time I do, I feel like waves are a constant, romantic, and powerful entity. This wonder of nature really lightens the weight of life and sometimes calms the mind. All nature is wonderful. This nature was created by God. We can look up to the God of nature through nature and know the God who created the universe through nature.
“All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made” (John 1:3).
Let's sing hymn 478, <Tong> 78, 'You are so beautiful' together.
1. How beautiful the world of the Lord is, the lily, which is more beautiful than Solomon's garment, The clear sound of birds singing to the Lord, the workmanship of my father is deep
2. How beautiful is the Lord's world that morning, the sun, the evening glow, the stars that shine in the night sky The empty sea and the evergreen peaks all reveal the glory of the Lord God.
3. How beautiful is your world, in the midst of the wind blowing on that mountain and the quiet brook, I hear your voice, and I know the great will of the Lord God. Amen
As Napoleon watched the sunset over Seosan the day before the battle, he was immersed in deep thought. "If only I had the power to make the sun stand still for two hours like Joshua..." His army needed clear weather to win the battle. The artillery he boasted was powerful in clear and bright daylight, but lost power in cloudy weather. However, the sun always set on Seosan Mountain.
Finally, the battle began the next day. Then, suddenly, thunder and lightning struck and rain poured down. The road turned into a bog, and Napoleon's boasted cannon was stuck in the mud and rendered useless. He looked into the sky, but couldn't help it. This was the Battle of Waterloo, which overthrew Napoleon's power.
Humans are infinitely weak in the face of nature. The stupidest person in the world is one who denies God, the creator of nature. Nature is a great teacher of humility to man. When God uses His creations to teach us, the wonders of God's creation are beautifully revealed.
“Go to the ant, the lazy child, and see what he does, and be wise” (Proverbs 6:6).
Because God has implanted spiritual lessons in nature, we can learn from creatures as small as ants. We can find many valuable lessons in God's designed nature.
Watching the tornadoes that hit central Oklahoma in the United States, the tsunami that devastated Japan's Sendai region, and the volcanic eruption of Mount Puyehu in southern Chile, we are both in awe and fear of nature. But the hand of nature is the hand of creation, the hand of effort, and the hand of perseverance. Nature never lies to anyone. No pretense and no complaints. Nature constantly blooms, grows and bears fruit in silence, so it always renews us. The touch of nature brings the whole world together. I work as a forest hasher at the Gangnam Senior Club. Teach students the importance of nature and forests. Let's not damage nature recklessly and cherish and love nature more.
* Prayer: Lord, who created and governs all things in the universe, we praise you for your great power and love. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth with His Word and made nature truly harmonious and beautiful. May we cherish and love this beautiful natural environment. Help me to understand the truth through nature, to know the greatness and love of God, and to know and obey your will. Bless me to live my day in gratitude. We pray in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen
