Title: Necessary Conditions for Success/Genesis 41:38~43
Contents The world we live in is not a world where everything becomes what we want it to be. But rather, at the moment when things don't go our way, we believers must believe that there is a mysterious providence of God. If you look at the life of Joseph in the waters of the Bible, in a word, his life was a tumultuous one. He was hated by his brothers and sold to an Egyptian merchant, and he went to Potiphar's house in a foreign land in Egypt, serving as a servant to others, and was falsely framed and imprisoned. But sometimes God exalted him to become the prime minister of the land of Egypt. We need to remember the fact that God's providence exists in every moment when we are in different circumstances like Joseph. So, today, I would like to share the grace of the Word with you, thinking about the success story of Joseph who succeeded in the midst of difficult adversity.
First, you must be a person inspired by God.
"Pharaoh said to his servants, "How can we find a man who is so moved by the Spirit of God?" As believers, we must succeed not only individually, but also at home, in the church, in the nation and in society. However, the first step to success is to become a person moved by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guides our lives. In fact, living with the Holy Spirit is evidence that God is in us. We can become successful when we live under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Judges 3:10).
Second, you must always live with a dream.
“Joseph had a dream and told it to his brothers, and they hated him even more” (Genesis 37:5). What is special about Joseph is that he always lived with a dream. Poet Noh Cheon-myeong once said, 'A life without an abnormality is a dead life'. We should always live with dreams, but we must live with dreams that are in harmony with God. Joseph did not forget the dream he had or only knew about it, but he confidently told his brothers about the dream he had dreamed, believing that it would be true. I hope that you too have a great will for God in your heart.
Third, you must have passion and passion. Looking at the life of Joseph, he was really burning with passion and passion. From a young age, Joseph passionately obeyed the errands his parents gave him without complaining, even to dangerous places that were not close to the wolves. Also, he worked hard when he was sold to Potiphar's house, and he was passionate about everything, such as interpreting the dreams of prisoners even after being falsely framed and entering the prison. So the news reached the king's ears, and he became the prime minister of Egypt. Even today, passionate people succeed. According to Romans 12:11
“Do not be lazy in diligence, be zealous and serve the Lord,” he said.
Fourth, we must live with a broad and big heart. Joseph went to a foreign country as a young child and faced various difficult circumstances, but because he lived with a broad and big heart, he was able to overcome all difficulties and become a successful Egyptian prime minister. According to 1 Kings 4:29
“God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceedingly, and he gave him a broad heart, like the sand on the seashore.” We also believe that we will become successful when we live with a broad and big heart like Joseph.
Dear saints, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will be filled with the Holy Spirit and always have dreams, and that you will become successful people by living with passion, passion, and a broad and big heart for God.
