Text: Nehemiah 8:5-12
Joy from God is the spiritual energy that is essential for human life.
It is the vital force of life. But the serious problem is that humans who have lost God will lose the joy of this source.
Humans who have lost this joy seek the joy of the world to fill this void.
But the more you seek the joys of the world, the more thirsty you become and the more you fall into a swamp. When the tears of joy and gratitude were flowing endlessly, the prophet Nehemiah
“Today is holy to the Lord your God. Do not grieve or weep.” Go eat the fat and drink sweet things, but give to those who do not have ready. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not be sad. power"
That's what I was recommending. How, then, should we rejoice in Jehovah?1. It is for the saints to come before God and find the joy of worship.
In verse 6 Ezra blessed the Lord God, the great God, and all the people raised up their hands and answered, Amen, Amen.
2. It is about finding the joy of spending holy days with God. ( 9-10 )
Keeping the Sabbath day holy and rejoicing in the Lord is strength.
I should rejoice that I can come and sit before the Lord on a Sunday.
Some look forward to a day like this, but others do not share in the joy of this day.
Every time I come and sit before the Lord on a Sunday, be truly grateful. 3. It is to live in joy through sharing with the saints.
Nehemiah 8:10 And Nehemiah said, Go ye, eat the fat, and drink sweet, but give ye to those who do not have ready. This day is holy to our Lord.
Do not be troubled, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
It is the joy of sharing and serving the saints. God does not give us believers the joy of being possessive, but the joy of being able to have everyone with love.

4. It is to find joy through the words of the pulpit (verses 4-5).
Psalm 119:92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
Psalm 119:111. Thy testimonies I have made my inheritance forever, for they are the delight of my heart. This is the joy that comes from new knowledge and salvation. This is the joy we find through repentance. It is the joy of the promise of new hope. This is the joy of being healed by the word.
Why are there so many strife, sects and divisions in the modern church today? Why is the experience of being reborn gradually disappearing and the feeling of salvation getting colder?
Even if you believe in Jesus, will you not be changed? Why are you ashamed of the gospel? It is because the power of the gospel is being lost in this world.
Therefore, the urgent task is to restore the power of the gospel. There must be new joy through the rediscovery of the Word. The history of the gospel is not outside the church
It must be fully worked from within the church.
Today we must hear the gospel again. The gospel has power. Paul says in Romans: In Romans 1:16 I am ashamed of the gospel
I do not, for this gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
The prophet Habakkuk, who lived in a time of hardship and adversity, sings this:
Hab 3:18 I will rejoice in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of salvation.
Enjoy your church life. The Lord will pour out the vitality of life. A church that pleases God in the new year. A church with neighbors
Let's make it. God will be pleased. Amen.
