“There was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhage for twelve years, and many doctors gave her a lot of trouble, and she wasted everything she had, but there was no benefit, and it was getting worse. Dan, because he thought that if I touched only his clothes, he would be saved. So immediately the source of his blood flow dried up, and he knew in his body that he was healed." (Mark 5:25-29)
Today's text is the story of a woman who did not give up and fulfilled her wish. After the thunder, it rains, and soon after the rain, the days are clear and a beautiful rainbow appears. No matter how long and dark the tunnel is, there is an end to it, and bright sunlight awaits at the end. So let's not give up.
First, don't give up when you think there's no other way. This woman, who had suffered from bleeding for 12 years, went to the hospital, took medicine, and tried everything she could to cure her disease, but to no avail. But when I did not give up and came to Jesus, the problem was solved.
Second, come to Jesus as your condition worsens and becomes more difficult and painful. The disease made the woman more and more painful. However, this woman did not give up even when she was exhausted and came to Jesus. Jesus came to find a woman, and she was healed the moment she touched the hem of Jesus' robe, believing that if she touched Jesus' clothes, she would be healed.
Third, don't give up even if you run out of property. This woman has spent a lot of money trying to cure her illness. What good is it if you gain everything in the world and lose your health? Your health is just as important. That's why people want to get better even if they spend all their money. No more money for treatment? Come to Jesus.
Beloved, when hardships overlap, do not give up and listen to this man. He contracted malaria at the age of 17, 22 and 29, smallpox at 19, and pleurisy at 20. At the age of 35, he contracted acute dysentery and even died. However, at the age of 55, he was elected the first president of the United States. Do you guys know who this person is? This is George Washington. He never gave up in difficult times.
