Title: New Call

a new call

Acts 9:1-9 (Deuteronomy 201)

What kind of person did I live before I met Jesus?

1. What was Saul's purpose in life before he met Jesus?

(Verses 1-2)

Saul was a strict legalist and Pharisee, and he lived his life believing that it was pleasing to God to persecute and imprison Christians.

Saul's false knowledge and false zeal led his life astray.

However, Jesus met him to make him a vessel for sharing the truth. Even today, Jesus shows us the truth by visiting our weak and deaf people. When you meet Jesus Christ, who is the truth, you will know your work, your mission, and the way you should go.

2. On the way to Damascus, what did Saul experience and who did he meet?

Saul, who was heading to Damascus with the public notice of the trend, experienced a spiritual rebirth in which everything was born again because of Jesus who appeared as light and voice.

His encounter with Jesus Christ shook up the roots of his life he had ever lived. He turned everything upside down: his experiences, his knowledge, his beliefs, his worldview. Our lives will also change when we meet Jesus, who is the true truth. The moment you meet Jesus, who is the truth, you discover the true value of life. Meet Jesus. You no longer follow vain things. Meeting Jesus will change your life.

3. After meeting Jesus, what happened to Saul? (Verses 8-9)

Saul opened his eyes, but couldn't see anything. They were led to Damascus, but for three days they could not see anything, and they could neither eat nor drink.

To become a man of Christ, you must die completely to the world. Only then can we meet Jesus Christ properly. Only then can we receive and serve Jesus Christ, who is the truth, as our Messiah. Have you met Jesus? Do you have Jesus Christ as your Messiah?

4. What is the Damascus experience like for me?

If you have a cause to believe in Jesus Christ and go to church, but if you follow anything other than Jesus Christ in real life, you can say that it is like Saul who is running hard to Damascus. Jesus stopped Saul and came to him as a light. If we have truly met Jesus, we too should stop walking and listen to Jesus' voice.

5. How have I changed since I met Jesus, who is the truth? Let's look at who we were before and after meeting Jesus Christ and talk about the changes.

What am I living for? Come to Jesus today. Those who come to Jesus will discover the true way of life. “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.”

When we clearly know what the purpose of life is, we can rediscover the value of life and live a meaningful life. Jesus Christ is the purpose and Lord of our lives. The true value of our lives can only be found in Jesus Christ. Go ahead and give your life to Him now. You will experience true joy.

- Set a time to meet with Jesus and never miss that time.

- What grace did you receive today? Think about what part of your life might change because of that grace.
