Title: New Era

Content Thu: A New Era

Text: Isaiah 32:15-20

It will also be a new era to welcome the new year after a year has passed, and any triggering moment will be called a new era. Ahead of the April general election, we hear the voices of politicians calling for water change theory and the need to recruit new people. However, the new age in the text describes the Messianic kingdom, which reads:

1. It is the time to receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit 15-

“In the end, he will pour out the Holy Ghost on us from above...” The characteristic of the age under the rule of Christ is that we first receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. As in the Old Testament, it is not limited by object or period, but is poured out on all peoples forever (Joel 2:28-29, John 14:16). If we receive the guidance of this Holy Spirit, the natural world will be restored to the order it was in creation, and it will become beautiful and abundant (Genesis 1:11-12). Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we believed in Jesus and were saved. When we kill ourselves and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, just as a dry wilderness becomes beautiful fertile soil, our hearts become beautiful and enriched.

2. It is the time to enjoy the blessings of righteousness 16-18

“Verse 16, …Peace dwells in the wilderness, and righteousness in a beautiful field…” Here, “righteousness and fairness” means exalting God and respecting the rights of others. It's possible. When “righteousness and fairness” dwell in fertile fields or uncultivated pastures that produce grain, it means that the norms of the new age of “righteousness and equity” will prevail over the whole earth. We, who are justified by faith in Jesus (Romans 3:26), receive “righteousness”, that is, “a good field” more abundantly (John 10:10).

“Verse 17, the effect of righteousness is … peace and security.” True peace is the result of righteousness, and unrighteousness causes discord. The causal relationship between these two things can be reversed, for it is said, “James 3:18 Peacemakers sow in peace and reap the fruit of righteousness.” It is a statement that emphasizes that true peace comes only from a right relationship with God. If you find it in the New Testament, it says, “Romans 5:1, since we have been justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Where we have received the righteousness of righteousness, we have all the blessings of living like a human being mentioned in “verse 18”.

Verse 18, “My people will be in a place of quiet rest.” In the beginning, “my people” means the descendants of Abraham in the Old Testament times, and in the New Testament Messianic times, all the saints who were redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ were his people. They are God's people. This new age can only be enjoyed by godly saints who, guided by the Holy Spirit, have made righteousness through the merits of Jesus Christ, and who are completely obedient to God's rule (John 14:27). Those blessings are “peace, peace, safety, and rest,” which is spiritual peace.

3. It is time to overcome the hardships that come 19-

“First the forest will be crushed by hail, and the city will be destroyed.” The “forest” in the first part refers to Assyria (Isa 10:18-19, 34), but the text refers to the Jerusalem of Judah and also the saints of today. is. It is that the chosen saints have to suffer before they can receive blessings. Isaiah mentioned that Judah suffered from the Assyrian invasion and then received God's blessing. The saints are disciplined for their sins, but in the new age, God receives repentance and gives blessings.

4. It is time to receive abundant rewards 20-

“Sow seeds along all the waters... Blessed are you.” Historically, it shows the happiness of God's people farming peacefully after the Assyrian invasion was over. Spiritually, it means that the spiritual life of those who have been saved through Christ is abundant. In the new age, like the abundance of a tree planted by a stream (Psalm 1:3; Jer 17:8), as we receive God's blessing and receive abundant rewards for life (Isaiah 30:23-25), the spiritual life is also rich and peaceful. there will be

(Concluding remarks) Although life so far has been tiring, weary, and income is low, the new era should be filled with peace, security, and abundance. You must not neglect your relationship with God because you are leaning toward worldly and fleshly things, and if you receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will also receive the precious reward that God has promised.
