Title: New Harmony / John 4:19-26
Contents New Harmony / John 4:19 - 26
Today's text sees the encounter between Jesus Christ and a Samaritan woman. Their meeting was awkward and it's better to see them as hostile. However, through this meeting, Jesus Christ showed us how to lead us to the proper worship of God and showed us how to become one with Him.
The Samaritan woman was truly a solitary woman. I lived with many men to forget that loneliness, but the more I did, the more I fell into loneliness and sin. He was in a situation where he could no longer have the right relationship with anyone. It was at this time that he met Jesus Christ.
Knowing that Jesus was a prophetic figure, the woman approached Him with a religious interest. However, his argument was made in defense of the traditions and religions that the Samaritans were holding. But Jesus is showing us how to leave this and prepare a new way. It was not the Samaritan way, nor the Jewish way, but it was about the worship of access to God only through Jesus Himself, the Christ.
At this time, the Samaritan woman opened her heart. In the meantime, after having relationships with many men and falling into the supreme sin and loneliness, I have now met the true and spiritual bridegroom, Jesus Christ. His solitude was found with joy, and his sins were now rejoiced in the joy of forgiveness. Through this process, she was reborn as a daughter of God who is loved by God.
This is the unity we must look forward to today. There is no harmony there as long as one insists on one's own and refuses to yield. That is, there is no unity. Only when we meet Jesus Christ can we become one and achieve harmony in Him. This history can happen to anyone who encounters Jesus Christ right today.
