Title: new strength
Content: new strength, new strength (Isaiah 40:27-31)
You need new strength to achieve your new goals. How do I get new strength?
First of all, don't complain. Complaining destroys itself. So the Bible tells us not to complain. Complaining because of suffering or complaining or complaining because of injustice is complaint. No one has the power to complain, and no one succeeds. “Jacob, why do you say, Israel, why do you say, My circumstances are hidden from the Lord, and my grievances are not accepted by my God” (verse 27). I mean, don't complain that you're listening.
He tells us to know God in order to receive new strength. Knowledge is power. “My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). The knowledge of God is power. “Have you not known or have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, who created the ends of the earth, does not grow weary, he does not grow weary, and his understanding knows no bounds” (verse 28). The eternal God is not one who says one way or another, but that he has a mind and a plan, and his power is limitless.
What is the new power? “It will be like an eagle soaring up on its wings; it will run and not get weary, and it will walk and not get weary” (verse 31).
First, it is an ascending force.
“It will be like flying up on the wings of an eagle.” The eagle is a symbol of the saints living with the new power God gives them. Flying eagle wings represent strength. It is the upward force. The eagles grow hair, feathers, and wings, but they don't soar high in the first place. Raising an eagle into an eagle requires training. You must stimulate the eagle's instincts. Overcome fear and become a brave eagle through high-altitude training. Education makes disciples and training makes warriors. The eagle's mighty wings and the guts to be fearless of storms are the result of training. I hope you become a believer who climbs like an eagle through training.
The second is the power to run.
“I will run and I will not get tired.” Running is running fast. The sprint is a lively, full-fledged emanation of power. It takes a lot of effort to run. But even if you run, you won't get tired. It is because of the new strength God has given us. Weakness means being weary, being poor, tormenting and tormenting. It makes you starve to death. When Esau returned from hunting, he was exhausted and sold his birthright for a bowl of red bean soup (Genesis 25:29-34). He would not have failed if he had not been exhausted from hunting. He had no new strength from God. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith, and from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness…” (2 Timothy 4:8-9) Paul ran like a runner for his missionary mission. I did. No matter how difficult the marathon is, if God gives strength to you. You will have energy to run towards your goal.
Third, the power to walk.
“...I will walk, and I will not be weary.” Life is a journey. There are many times in life when things don't go the way we want, so we lose our energy and become tired. Jesus speaks to those who are weary as they walk along the road. “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He was refreshed by eating and drinking, and he walked forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God (1 Kings 19:4-8). The secret to all success and victory is non-stop. Moving forward is the key. It is the power to keep walking without stopping the new strength God gives you.
“But those who wait for the Lord will find new strength.” May your dreams come true with the strength God gives you.
