A world ruled by foreign rulers
(Mt 20:24) When the ten disciples heard it, they were angry with the two brothers. (Mt 20:25) Jesus called his disciples and said to them, “They did not know that the rulers of the Gentiles had their dominion over them, and that their great men exercised authority over them. you know
world of strangers
Because the world is ruled by Gentile rulers, it is bound to be different from the world the Lord is ruling in every way. So there are many things we have to avoid in this world.
First, we must avoid worldly wisdom (1 Corinthians 3:19).
(1 Corinthians 3:19) The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God, it is written, “They lead the wise into their deceit.” (1 Corinthians 3:20) And it is said that the Lord knows the thoughts of the wise are vain.
This is because the wisdom of the world leads those who only care for themselves into deceit.
Second, we must avoid loving the world (2 Timothy 4:10).
(2 Timothy 4:10) Demas, because he loved this world, left me and went to Thessalonica, Cresces to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
The world makes us forsake the Lord and forsake God.
Third, we must avoid the corruption of the world (2 Peter 1:4).
(2 Peter 1:4) By this he has given us that precious and exceedingly great promise, that through this promise you may become partakers of the divine nature, avoiding the corruption that is in the world through lust.
If we do not avoid the corruption of the world, we cannot participate in God's disposition.
Fourth, we must avoid the lusts of the world. (1 John 2:15-17)
(1 John 2:15) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (1 John 2:17) The world and its lusts pass away, but he who does the will of God abides forever.
The things of the world refuse to follow the Lord. It also disobeys God. This world is a place where Satan reigns, a place in the sin of darkness, and a place under the judgment of God. We need to be aware of this fact.
Saints preparing for the kingdom of God
The kingdom of God is spiritual, not something grand and visual like this world. And we should rightly recognize that through the Second Coming of Christ, as an eternal thing, the kingdom will be eradicated from its adversaries and will be fully consummated.
Only when this awareness is right can we lead our life of faith rightly.
You can also find answers to the question of what is building and expanding the kingdom of God. Only those who prepare for the kingdom of God can enter it.
the secret of humiliation
(Matthew 20:26) It is not so among you; whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your servant.
humiliation in the good sense
The people of Nineveh were all Gentiles, but they were humbled by listening to the wisdom of Solomon or the proclamation of the prophet Jonah and repenting.
And when we listen to the publican's prayer in Luke's Gospel, we can understand the true meaning of good humility. All of these are examples of lowliness and humility, and they are recognized as righteous before God. We must have this humility.
reward for lowering
The Bible testifies that there is a reward for those who humble themselves and are humble.
First, all diseases will be healed. (2 Kings 5:11-14) If you obey the Word without being arrogant like Naaman, you will receive the blessing of grace.
Second, it elevates yourself. The Christian community is fundamentally different from the nations of the world, where the person who serves the most and who is considered the lowest in his eyes is the highest.
Third, as in the parable of the prodigal son, he can restore his place. When he repented of his sins and humbled himself and returned to his father, the prodigal son again became the object of his father's joy. Those who pursue humility will labor for God (1 Corinthians 15:9-10).
Christ's humiliation
Christ wanted to be humbled and humbled. So Christ served sinners all his life, and he did not hesitate to die for them. As Christ Himself became a servant to mankind, He received a place to be worshiped by all peoples from God.
If Christ had not become man's servant, he would not have been our Redeemer. Christ's work of atonement was voluntary, and it came out of respect for the people of this world.
Son of man who came as a ransom
(Matthew 20:28) The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Sacred Mission as a Ransom
Jesus was a human being just like us as a Son of Man with humility and majesty. It is this fact that gives us greater grace and emotion. The Lord came into this world to perform the work of atonement for our sins. He himself has been merciful to us and has set an example for us.
The Lord came to give His life. We have no life to give to others. Our original life has long since been lost by God's justice. Because the Lord has become our ransom. All Jews belong to God. So they made atonement by paying a ransom. Jesus gave himself as our ransom to redeem us from the condemnation of the law.
The will of God who sent Jesus
Jesus himself sent his only begotten Son, Jesus, as a ransom to save us. It was God's wonderful plan and the result of God's infinite love for us.
God's amazing economy was accomplished by Jesus Christ's crucifixion and death to unite heaven and earth in Christ. God still calls unbelievers. He also regenerates and transforms by sanctification.
Our attitude toward God's will
We must follow this wonderful will of God properly. And we must strive to properly discern God's will, always give thanks for God's will, and pray that God's will will be spread widely in the world and God's will will be fulfilled. The Lord is very pleased to do His will through us. He called us to be His children and workers because He longed for the fulfillment of His will through the labor and efforts of the saints. We must have the right attitude to our calling.
