Title: New Year's Eve with God / Psalm 23
Contents New Year's Eve with God / Psalm 23
Dear saints, Let's give thanks and praise to God for allowing the new year. The new year has dawned, but our hearts are heavier than ever. Worries and anxiety about how to live a new year that should be bright and full of hope are ahead. We do not have confidence in planning the year ahead, and we do not have the ability to overcome the obstacles that have been raised in front of us. Our reality is that, like the Israelites standing in front of the Red Sea, worries and concerns are weighing down on us. What is God asking of us through this dark, heavy, and burdensome reality today? First of all, there are a few things we need to know.
1. It is that I am not the master of my life.
What is more important to us now than the problems of righteousness, food, and the Lord is that we discover our Heavenly Father. We need to know ‘Who is God?’ to solve our problems. The psalmist says, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” A shepherd is everything to a sheep. If you can only find a shepherd and confirm the shepherd's love, you have already obtained all the conditions for happiness and peace. Because the shepherd takes care of all the needs of the sheep. Today, we need to pray that God will make us realize the shepherd. How reassuring are we that the Creator, Almighty God, is the shepherd of our lives? If we really believe that He is our Shepherd and Father, we can entrust Him with the mountain of anxieties and anxieties in our hearts. There is no test that we cannot bear. Find a solution to our problems with God, our Father and our Shepherd. If you ask, it will be given to you. If you seek, you will find You promised to open the door when you knock on it. Trust God's promise to give. And leave the work of tomorrow to Him and enjoy the peace He has given you today.
2. You never know what you will encounter in a lifetime.
However, one thing is clear: God promises to be with me for the rest of my life. The sheep do not know where they are going, but they follow the shepherd's guidance without hesitation. We don't know what will happen tomorrow. Only the Lord, who is the shepherd, follows. Faith is acknowledging the invisible God as seeing God, and having the Word of God in your heart. 'It is only through faith that you can please God. God promises to reward those who have faith' (Hebrews 11:6). Start the new year with faith. Because God exists and is with us, we have a future. Since God's love is unchanging, we can be confident in the face of the time to come.
Conclusion / Celebrate the New Year with confidence with God. Rejoice as one who has nothing and nothing to gain but has everything in God. Discover the conditions of gratitude. God is my shepherd. Therefore, please make a confession of faith that I lack nothing. In the new year, I pray that God will protect your health and lead your family to green pastures and still waters. Amen
