Title: Nimble (Ecclesiastes 1:1-11)

Contents

Although Korea is said to be small, there are many more places that I have not been to. I went again knowing it was big, and it was over. This is two-sided. Life seems great, but it's nothing. This is two-sided. After all, life is what you see. So, let's look at us from God's point of view.

A person felt the futility of life. I decided to commit suicide because I wanted to buy something, and I climbed on the railing of the Han River bridge. The moment you are about to jump, a passerby stops you. So I talked to the passerby. He explained why he had to die. The passerby explained why the person had to live. But in the end, they both jumped and died together. If you don't have the confidence to persuade, just go.

There are two regrets in the above story.

1. It's a pity that I couldn't find someone who could more convincingly tell me why I should live.

2. If you look at life, you are not satisfied with the emptiness of life that you must die.

There are a lot of things I don't really understand, I'm a depressed person, a sleepless person, a poor person.

Then I started to understand. “It’s because the environment is wrong.” I hope you will intentionally create a healthy environment for the environment. If you live like that, “ In this lonely mountain hut where no one is looking for you,” how will you get married? Creating a depressing environment makes you depressed. Creating a pleasant environment makes you happy.

What the hell is life? There are three fundamental problems in life: “Life cannot solve the futility of life on its own, humans cannot solve the problem of sin on their own, and the afterlife cannot be solved by life’s efforts.

A 60-year-old grandfather loads a cart with loads of luggage and goes over the hill. I'm halfway through, so I'm getting stronger. A boy helps. Then we climbed the hill and sat down together. The story started with the boy asking, “Grandpa, why are you working in this hot weather?” The boy keeps asking, “Grandpa, what do you eat? Grandpa tried to answer, but there was no proper answer.” He lives to pull a cart. “I did.

Does a person who is said to be the lord of all things live to pull a cart in the heat of August? Why are you buying today? I don't live to go to work, but am I living my life without the purpose of life as if I was going to work?

Like Schopenhauer, Solomon, the King of Wisdom, is in the same dilemma. He was very wise and lived a very wealthy life. so he says “In vain, in vain…”

When I was in middle school, I didn't go on a school trip, and I used that money to buy and raise pigs. Then the pig died. He died because he didn't get vaccinated. Then my dream disappeared. Then came emptiness in my heart. “What is life?”

The last kanji used by very good monks while chanting is called “mu”. However, the Bible helps us to realize the emptiness early, so that we can find a life that is not in vain.

First, nihmu is usually a guest who comes to you when your age and life are stable. It is a passing process. There is no point if you are young and busy eating and living. At a young age, he commits suicide out of shock, not in vain. In addition, the poor in Africa do not commit suicide even if they want to “better to die after living like this”

Someone asks, “A lot of the audience is enthusiastic about Pastor’s words, but isn’t it empty after the end?” So I answer. “I am proud. Because I have Jesus in me.”

When emptiness and emptiness are flooding in, people do erratic things, deviate, struggle, and go out of their way. In the story of the rich man and Lazarus, although Lazarus eats and wins, peace flows, and the rich man sees the fear of hell that gradually creeps in. Even to forget about it, we feast every day. My dad used to be like that. “Hey Kyungdong, what are you buying for fun?” “What does your father do for fun?” “I live for the fun of alcohol” “I live for the fun of being filled with the Holy Spirit”

Second, they are guests who come because they do not know the meaningless life. Psalm 144:4 “Man is like vanity, and his days are like a passing shadow” James 4:14 “What is your life? Please don't spend all your time on useless things and live a busy life, do something meaningful and worthwhile, work for the Lord, and work for your neighbor.

Third, emptiness comes because life is empty. There is a void created by God in the heart of man. It cannot be filled by any creation, and can only be filled for God through Jesus Christ. Our lives are bigger than the world. In order to satisfy us, the one greater than the world, Jesus, must come. Absolutely, it's not about fostering.

Conclusion. The secret to overcoming emptiness should not be like the world. You must meet the Lord. Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Now that you have heard of the end of things, fear God and keep his commandments, for this is man’s duty, and God will judge every deed and every secret thing, good or evil.” There is an answer to the futility of life. 1) Fear God. In today's language, “Believe in Jesus.” 2) Know and live the God who judges. Is there any emptiness in your life? Because of that emptiness, the place where the Lord should enter has been prepared.
