Title: No Excuses (Men are without excuse.)
You can’t say the words: I’m sorry.
Text: Romans 1:20
Dictionary meaning of excuse: Making excuses under the guise of something else. Putting other things as a shield
We can live on this earth with many excuses.
But God is saying, “There are things we can’t make excuses for.”
- It is the first, "Since God has made it clear that He is God, there is no excuse for not knowing this."
Romans 1: 18-25
20 From the foundation of the world his invisible things, even his eternal power and divinity, have been clearly seen and understood in all things that have been made; therefore they have no excuse.
- Second, we cannot excuse ourselves, “We have a conscience. But you cannot deceive that conscience.”
Romans 2:12-16,
12 Everyone who sins without the law will also perish without the law, and everyone who has the law and sins will be judged by the law
13 It is not the hearers of the law who are righteous in the sight of God, but the doers of the law are justified.
14 (For when a Gentile, who does not have the law, by nature does the things of the law, this person, although not having the law, is a law to himself.
15 These are the works of the law written in their hearts, with their conscience as evidence, and their thoughts accusing each other or accusing each other or making excuses.)
16 The day when God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
There is a third inexcusable thing: “The fact that we are sinners.”
John 15:22 If I had not come and told them, there would be no sin, but now there is no excuse for their sin.
Fourth, we have no excuses,
“By judging others, we condemn ourselves.”
Romans 2:1,
Therefore, you have no excuse, anyone who judges others, in judging others, for you are condemning yourself, for you who judge do the same.
However, this excuse is the fact that "as long as you live on this earth, you can use it."
That is why many people deny God with this or that excuse, deceive their consciences, say they are not sinners, and give themselves up to judge others.
However, on the day of God's judgment, in front of God's judgment seat, it is the fact that "I can't make excuses."
So in Romans 2:16,
He says, “The day when God will judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.”
(This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.)
