“I will secure his body, and the Father put him in my hand, and if I bring him to him and do not put him before him, I will sin forever” (Genesis 43:9).
You may have heard of the neologism 'It's Taliban'. This expression was registered as a new word in the 'Net Dictionary' in 2007, and its meaning is 'a sarcastic remark of a person or action who does not keep his or her promise, especially delaying the appointment for exactly 24 hours. Conversely, in French, Noblesse Oblige is a 'mental duty accompanying a high rank,' which is generally referred to as a moral duty of the possessor. It refers to the high moral literacy that social leaders, especially the upper classes and nobles should possess.
This is a basic condition that a country must have in order to maintain its health. When this condition is not met, the country is on the road to destruction. During the Second Punic War of the early Roman Empire, the nobility not only took the initiative and participated in the war, but also contributed their wealth to the country to cover the insufficient cost of the war. This high moral responsibility became the cornerstone of Rome's development into a global empire.
As the famine continued, Jacob's household needed food. So Jacob offered to go to Egypt. But they could not send Benjamin to Egypt. Jacob fell into a dilemma where he could neither do this nor that. At that moment, the fourth Judas comes forward and tells his father that he is going to be a security for Benjamin. Just as Jacob's life and Benjamin's life were tied together, it is to fulfill that responsibility by tying Benjamin and Judah as one.
This responsibility was not a moral responsibility for Judas alone. Judas' moral responsibility saved the nation of Israel, including his own family, with a representative attitude that took care of us, including himself. .
If we change our words according to our own convenience and act Taliban-style, how can we usher in a new history in a new era? Today, the expansion of the Taliban is only regrettable. Many respected spiritual leaders who have the ability to open a new history in a new era by fulfilling their moral responsibilities should emerge from within us. The protagonist must be myself.
