wants to kiss (2). He wants to lead himself to a more secret ambush (4).

The Shulammite woman was an active woman to be loved by Solomon.

Usually, a man is courting a woman, but in the text, a woman is courting a man. It depicts the active love of a Shulammite woman.

(2) Why are you so actively seeking love?

King Solomon's love is sweeter than wine. (2) Solomon's love is sweet and good enough to captivate her and intoxicate her.

It was against the noble character of King Solomon in all aspects such as character, speech and deeds (3).

Therefore, King Solomon is loved by many virgins in Jerusalem (4).

The love and character of Jesus Christ cannot be compared to that of Solomon. Therefore, like the Shulammite woman, we must actively seek the Lord's love. Because it is such a precious love, it must be actively obtained.

② Longing for you along with your own shortcomings (5-7)

The Shulammite woman admits to herself that she lacks compared to King Solomon. Although he is a black and insufficient person in the eyes of others, he has his own beauty and shows that he cannot give up his love.

God sees the saints with joy and praises them when they come to the Lord with faith, even if they are not spiritually refined, and gives them more grace to lead them to mature beautifully.

3. Mutual praise between two lovers (12-17)

① The Shulammite woman’s tribute to King Solomon (12-14)
