Title: Not among you (Matthew 20:25-28)
[Matthew 20:25-28]
[25] ♠ Jesus called his disciples, and said to them, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles are ruling over them, and that great men exercise authority over them. [26] ♠ It is not so among you. [27] ♠ Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave [28] ♠ The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many Inira
During Lent, we need to hear the Lord's voice more sensitively and more clearly. And in front of that voice, we must earnestly realize what the Lord wants and come out. If the special period was a time to offer our earnest hopes and prayers to the Lord, I hope that this Lent season will be a time for us to come to the Lord by recognizing the earnest hopes and expectations that the Lord has for us.
Near the Lord, but far from his heart
It is a tragedy that the Lord tells us.
Our church is a church that raises disciples. I pride myself on being very passionate about myself. But so can we. This is equivalent to an untuned, unkeyed instrument. It seems that the instrument is making a sound in its own way and making music hard in its own way, but the key does not match. The Lord said C#, but I come out in C.
Why does this happen? Why are these side effects happening?
It is because they have not learned the new values of the kingdom of God.
What are the new values of the Lord's kingdom?
The greatest in the kingdom of the Lord are those who serve. The most powerful in the kingdom of the Lord is the servant. Behold the Lord, who, the greatest and most high, was not served, but served, even gave himself as a ransom for many. The Lord is walking this path now. His passion, interest, and devotion towards the cross are completely gone. How can we understand the Lord's heart? They say that we follow the Lord closely, but we hear the word of the Lord closely, but our hearts are not tuned. If the Lord's stature is not tuned, how can I hear his voice, how can I understand his heart, and how can I sing that song?
Near the Lord, but far from his heart
Because they do not know the heart of the Lord, they are outwardly disciples, but they are outwardly following, but in reality they are not disciples, and in reality they are no longer following the Lord. I don't know why this is so difficult. We all prefer to be served. We all love to be recognized. If I am not recognized and treated as a lowly person, I get angry. They are disciples who follow the Lord closely, but there is no image of the Lord. Without this image, no matter how passionately you follow it, your focus will not match. You will walk on a path that has nothing to do with the Lord's way. When I think about why this is so difficult, because we are born of Adam, we like to be acknowledged and served, we like to be served, and we don't like the other way around.
So we must cry out before the Lord. A transplant is required. We cannot have this kind of heart unless the Holy Spirit comes and renews us. It is said that the disciples also saw their eyes at some point. Because of the awakening of one's eyes for a moment, we understand the cross, understand the way of the Lord, and understand discipleship. All we need is for the Lord to come and operate on us. You have to make a new one. We have no hope until they give us new hearts and minds. Because discipleship is not ultimately about passion. A disciple does not mean that he has completed the course with zeal. True discipleship is never achieved until the Lord comes and transplants us spiritually and allows the Lord's heart. On the first day of Lent, we want to cry over these words. Please heal me until this image of the Lord is realized in my heart.
