toil not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unshaken, and always devoted to the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
1. toil in vain
a) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world (1 John 2:16).
b) The works of the flesh are remarkable: fornication, impurity, sensuality, (20) idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, envy, anger, selfishness, separation, heresy, (21) envy, drunkenness, licentiousness, Such things.. .Those who do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).
c) You ask and do not receive, because you ask erroneously to spend it on your lusts (James 4:3).
2. Labor not in vain
a) Jesus answered and said to them, "It is the work of God that you believe in him whom God has sent" (John 6:29).
b) The wise will shine like the light of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever and ever (Daniel 12:3).
c) This is the saying, whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
3. Let's not waste our efforts
a) Be awake, stand firm in the faith, and be strong like men (1 Corinthians 16:13_
b) But my righteous one will live by faith; and if he turns back, my heart has no pleasure in him (Hebrews 10:38).
c) As the body is one and has many members, and as the body has many members, yet it is one body, so is Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12).
A life in which toil not in vain and reap a bountiful harvest at the time of fruition.
