Title: Not Later, Now

▒▒ Bible : Exodus 33:11~23
A lot of things have happened in our lives so far. Especially when we were growing up, we had a middle school entrance exam. It was a very happy and enjoyable day when we entered the school we wanted and went to college and passed the exam we wanted. Also, the day I got married to the man and woman I wanted was a very happy and happy day. But I pray in the name of the Lord that we will be like John Wannamaker and Dr. Simpson who discovered the anesthetic, who confess, “The day I met Jesus and the day I knew Him are the most precious days of my life.” .
It can be said that Moses is the greatest person in the Bible. In Deuteronomy 34:10, after Moses died, God said these things about Moses. “In the future, there will be no great prophets like Moses in the history of Israel.” “Moses was a man whom God knew face-to-face. One who knew face to face.” says the Bible.
Looking at today's text, we can see several reasons why Moses became a great person. As we look at these things today, I ask in the name of the Lord that we may live a life we only have once and live a life that is as honorable as Moses and praised by God.
Exodus 33:11 says, “God spoke with Moses like a friend.” No one in the Bible has experienced God's wonderful work as much as Moses. In Exodus 33:18, Moses said to God, “God, I want to see Your face and Your glory.” That being said, this is a great request. Because in verse 20, “No one can see me and live.” Because you are speaking. Nevertheless, Moses said, “God, I want to see your glory.” It's a huge request.
Despite the great request, God did not rebuke Moses for being rude, but rather pleased him. This is because Moses' passion to see God's glory continued unabated. This has a lot to teach us who believe in Jesus today. In particular, in the case of people who have been living in the church for 20 or 30 years, one of the common phenomena is the fixation of their religious life, which means that their religious life is not more passionate. In particular, the older the church, the more difficult it is to see such passionate faith, and the more stagnant it is.
But Moses was different. Moses had a special relationship with God to the extent that God said, “I know him face to face.” Despite his special relationship with God, his passion for knowing God was constantly burning in his heart. May this fire of passion continue to burn like Moses. When passion ceases, our faith dies. May the fire of the passion of faith continue to burn within us. God has never broken the passion of those who want to know Him.
“God, I want to see Your glory.” “Is that so? I will show you the glory of the Lord; hide yourself in the clefts of the rocks. Then I will cover your face with my hand for a while as I pass by. He who sees my face cannot live, so don't look at my face. And after I have passed, I will pull my hand away, and then you will see my back.” When Moses said, “God, I want to see your image,” we can see that God answered all those prayers. This is our God. We passionately “want to know God more.” Please remember that God never says “no” when you say something. The important thing is that, like Moses, the passion to know the Lord must always burn in our hearts.
Ladies and gentlemen, the important thing in our life of faith is that the day you will receive grace should be today. Don't put it off until tomorrow. Please remember that this is the time for us to receive grace, and this is the time to meet the Lord of glory. Not later, but now. Many people around us live a life of faith and say, “I can’t do it now, but I will do it later.” There are many cases of procrastination, but Moses never led a procrastinating life of faith. Moses said, “Lord, now I want to see Your glory.” I am saying this clearly.
Ladies and gentlemen, the passion of faith is today. Not tomorrow. We are in the same situation. If we do it wrong, our faith will fall into mannerism. From birth, I was dedicated to God in my mother's womb. So far, I have never missed a Sunday. I have read the Bible countless times. What appears easily to these kinds of people is, ‘This is enough.’ It's about falling into mannerism. Passion disappears.
My dear brothers and sisters, even though he was so blessed that Moses became a great person, he said, “God, I want to see your glory.” Endless passion, because it burned Moses' life. Moses' passion made him a great servant of God.
It is not tomorrow that many of the saints worshiping today will receive grace. This is the time. Now. I want to know the Lord all now, not later. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become many saints who come closer to the Lord with this kind of heart.
