Title: Capernaum!
Contents :
Capernaum, which enjoyed the greatest prosperity and privileges in the time of Jesus, has witnessed and enjoyed numerous miracles and powers of the Lord.
The Lord says, “If Sodom had shown these teachings and miracles, Sodom would not have perished and would have repented.”
Why did Capernaum perish with this rebuke of the Lord?
Capernaum is an undisputed people.
The condition of being the chosen people of God cannot be the privilege of becoming a child of God unconditionally.
Also, not everyone who has been in church for a long time cannot be a child of God.
Because Capernaum did not respond to God's grace.
God bestows the grace of salvation on our lives.
He will soon give you the grace of repentance and the ability to be renewed.
It was Capernaum that received the greatest amount of God's great grace directly on earth.
If such grace had been given to the city of Sodom, they would have gone on the path of serving the Lord.
Capernaum dishonored the grace of the Lord.
Among the people of Galilee, including Capernaum, there were some who denounced the miraculous power that the Lord had given them as 'plays of demons'.
They ridiculed him of performing miracles by the power of Beelzebub.
He committed the sin of completely blaspheming the grace and power of God's Holy Spirit.
Unfortunately, there are those around us who view God's grace as vain or dishonorable.
There are many people who view the worship of worshiping God as a joke.
Surprisingly, there are many people among the church members who slander or ridicule the prayers of the saints who pray earnestly, or who despise praise, devotion, and sacrifice to God.
They are the ones who demand only outward signs rather than true salvation.
The ultimate purpose of the Lord's great miracles and powers is to obtain the fruits of 'repentance and faith.'
The Lord wanted them to realize God's righteousness and love, repent of their unbelief and unrighteous sins, and be saved as God's children.
They are obsessed with outward signs and wonders and disregard efforts to live according to the word of the Lord.
Capernaum was proud of itself.
The Lord rebuked the people of Capernaum for thinking that they could be exalted to heaven.
But the Lord's answer is, "You will be brought low even to hell."
Humility is the key to honor, but pride is the vanguard of destruction.
