Leviticus teaches God's people how to live as God's people. The result of living that way is a blessing. Conversely, if you do not live according to the Word, you will be cursed. The God who saved Israel from Egypt and saved sinners from punishment is still speaking of obedience to us.
1. Do not worship idols
God's words to the Israelites over and over again are, "You shall not serve idols." It is mentioned first in the Ten Commandments. Idolatry is an extremely selfish act for one's own sake. People worship idols because they are afraid, because they are weak, and because they need someone to depend on. After all, the reason for worshiping idols is because of greed. God wants the Israelites to acknowledge God as their Lord and worship Him alone. He wants Israel to become a holy nation that fears only God. Today, we too must become a living temple that pleases the Lord by fearing God alone above all else.
2. Contents of True Blessing
God says that He will give true blessings to the people who live by His word. When you keep His commandments, covenants, and ordinances, He promises great and wonderful blessings. The contents of the blessing are such as abundance, rain, security, and peace. God will make his people prosperous and prosperous. God is the source of all blessings. Our job is to listen to him. We must obey what God has commanded us to do. Sin is not doing what you are told to do, and trying hard to do what you are told not to do. It is not our obedience to commands that bless us, but our faith to obey. We must live according to what God, the source of blessing, has commanded us to do. If you live in obedience to His words and commands, you will be blessed with prosperity.
3. God is my Lord
The greatest blessings from God are not material things or prosperity. The greatest blessing is that God is my Lord. God will take care of Israel with grace and will set up a tent among them. Seeing this, other nations will seize the opportunity to rob Israel of its riches and ravage them. But if Israel remains unchanged and still obeys God's commands, the God of the covenant will protect them from all threats. God, the Lord of the whole world, gave His Son for us. What could be more blessed than this? I hope that you will live a life of faithfully serving and worshiping Him who is our God.
God created all creatures. And you know the creature all too well. Everyone knows how to live happily and which parts of us are vulnerable. The secret to success and happiness in life is surprisingly simple. It depends on how close I am with the One who made me.
