Title: Obtaining Strange Help
Contents
1 Chronicles 26:12-15 with marvelous help
King Uzziah of Judah became king at the age of 16 and ruled the country for 50 years. Becoming a king at the age of 16 is a common occurrence in the past because it was hereditary. However, it is not easy to rule a country as a king for 50 years. King Uzziah was good at politics. He received tribute from Ammon. They developed a lot of water and turned the desert into fertile soil. Increased farmland and increased livestock.
These days, the Saemaul Undong has been launched and the golden age has been enjoyed. It also made the national defense strong. Everything went smoothly as if you were running on the highway of Zion. But the Bible clearly explains why. "Get some strange help" This is the answer.
There is a uniform characteristic of God's people. It is to get the strange help of Hana-nam. Moses is. It was never through the power of Moses that Moses became Moses. There was a wonderful help from God. Moses performed miracles 14 times with the staff he had to tend the sheep. The staff once turned into a snake. He struck the rock with his staff, and water came out. It is a strange thing that cannot be done by human power. When he struck the Red Sea with his staff, the sea parted and a path was made. It has been done with extraordinary help.
So is Paul. If only the handkerchief that Paul used was placed on a sick person, he was healed. It is a wonderful help from God. So is Daniel. Daniel was put in a lion's den to kill him, but God sent an angel to block the lion's mouth. With God's wonderful help, I became a great person. So is Peter. When Herod persecuted Christians, he tried to put Peter to death and put him in prison. An angel came and opened the prison door. With wonderful help, Peter became Peter.
In this way, God who gave His people a wonderful help is the same yesterday and today and forever. I pray that God will give me and you a wonderful help as well. So to whom will God give strange help? He is looking at King Uzziah quietly and trying to find out the secret.
1. You must like good things.
God's wondrous help does not come to those who like bad things. There is a passage in the Bible about King Uzziah. “Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem at the corner gates, at the valley gates, and at the corners of the city to fortify them, and he built towers in the rough ground and dug many puddles of water; he anointed the plains and plains with plenty of livestock, and in the mountains and in the good fields farmers and vineyards. He had a ruler over the land, and he loved farming." (2 Chronicles 26:9-10)
Although Uzziah was a king, he loved farming. At that time, most of the kings liked to hunt and to build. But King Uzziah loved farming. So the rough land was cleared. They built a tower and made a puddle of water. He also grew grass and loved herding and farming. King Uzziah liked good things. You have to like the good, and if you like the bad, that's a problem
Let's take an example. Korea has the highest suicide rate among OECD developing countries. Gangwon-do has the highest suicide rate in Korea. Taebaek and Jeongseon have the highest suicide rates in Gangwon-do. There is a reason. Because of the casino. The daily income of the casino is 2 billion won. 3000 dealers are working.
Thousands of people are wasting their fortunes in casinos. It is said that once you start playing games, you can't stop playing. When you win some money, you do it for fun, and when you lose, you try to get it back. In the end, you do it until you get rid of everything you have. And there are a lot of people who commit suicide there.
If you like bad things, that's a problem. If you like bad drugs, that's a problem. It's a problem if you like bad alcohol and cigarettes. If you like bad gambling, that's a problem. If you like bad computer entertainment, that's a problem. If you like bad world stories, that's a problem. You have to hate the bad and like the good. Those who like relief will be enriched. A person who likes books becomes wise. Those who love prayer will receive answers. Those who like to listen to the Word grow their faith.
God gives wonderful help to those who like good things. Good if you like worship. Good if you like church. Good if you like evangelism. It's good if you like to serve. Good if you like sacrifices. Good if you like purebreds. King Uzziah liked good things, so God had a wonderful help. Dear saints, I also pray for God's wondrous help in this foreign land because you like what God likes.
2. You must like good people.
The text says so. “In the days of Zechariah, who knew the revelation of God, he sought God, and as long as he sought the Lord, God prospered.” This means that he spoke with the prophet Zechariah. Zechariah was a man who clearly knew the revelations of God. In other words, it means that King Uzziah liked spiritual people.
What kind of person do you like? Who do you like to be friends with? Do you like people who drink well, play with the world, talk about the world, and be full of worldly ideas? Or do you like a spiritual person who seeks the truth and loves the truth? The Bible says “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2).
King Uzziah liked the spiritual man, the prophet Zechariah, and while he was with the prophet Zechariah, God gave him a wonderful help, and he became a prosperous man. But God did not let him prosper when he did other things. During the days of Zechariah, Uzziah, who had been searching for God like that, became twisted when the prophet Zechariah died. And, forgetting that he had become strong with God's wonderful help, he trembled with pride to burn incense that only God's priests could do.
In today's terms, it means that the president gave a blessing during worship. Even the president is proud to give a benediction during worship. In response to this, Azariah the priest took eighty brave men of the LORD's priests and went after them and stopped King Uzziah. "Uzziah, it is not the king's job to burn incense to the LORD, but the priests, the sons of Aaron, who have been set apart to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary. You have sinned, and you will not be glorified by the LORD your God."
Despite this, Uzziah was proud and went into the sanctuary to burn incense. King Uzziah was angry with the priests when he took the censer and was about to burn incense. At that moment, leprosy appeared on his forehead. And he was not cured of leprosy until the day he died, and he lived in a separate palace. King Uzziah, who had been strengthened with God's strange help, was now in a miserable condition, living alone until he died in a separate palace.
In today's language, King Uzziah began as a Christian and ended with Satan. These people are called Christians. Conversely, Paul begins as Satan who persecuted Jesus and ends as a true Christian. This is Sarisian. But Abraham began with faith and ended with faith. Christian.
Conclusion. You have to love the good until the end. You must love a good person to the end. God has given wonderful help to those who like good things and like good people. I pray in the name of the Lord that God's wonderful help will come to all of you in this foreign land so that your life in this foreign land will be more blessed.
