Title: Offerings for the Jerusalem Church
Content Title: Offering for the Jerusalem Church
Christianity is a religion of love.
First of all, the believers who realized God's love showed God's love by showing God's love to their neighbors, so that they could serve God fully.
Paul was a Jew and a missionary who preached the gospel to Gentiles.
The Gentile churches were far better than the Jews in their carnal life.
There was a famine in Judea, and the believers of the Jews were persecuted, and their life in the flesh was difficult. Therefore, religiously, the Gentile churches donated money to the saints of Jerusalem, the parent church, to help with material things.
And since the church needs material things to do its work, the members began to donate. It tells the story of how the Corinthian Saints donated in the spring snow.
1. Do as the church in Galatia commanded.
(Galatians 6:6-8) It is said that offering is like sowing seeds to God. It is said that offering is sowing seeds of blessing to God and sowing blessings in the spiritual heavens.
2. It must be given voluntarily.
Giving should be done voluntarily with a grateful heart, thinking about the grace God has given us.
3. It must be prepared.
Donations are not made to people or because of the operation of the church. Offerings are to be given to God, and should be prepared with sincerity before giving to God. In other words, God is supported by our devotion.
4. It must be given on a set day.
I said "on the first day of every week," which means Sunday.
It is reasonable to prepare for a week and give it to the Lord on the day of worship.
This kind of heartfelt offering should be given to the ministers who live for the gospel, and it should be used to give and help.
