Title: Office of Weaver / Acts 6:1-7
Contents Office of weaving / Acts 6:1-7
Our church's fiscal year is set to November every year. So, we make all the plans for the church based on November. From this point of view, we have only about a month and a half left to serve this year.
I know that it is very meaningful to hold the church-dedicated worship service at such a time.
I know it is a precious time to look back on ourselves, who worked hard and served for the church of the past, and to adjust our posture for the future.
We always cherish the office of weaving. This is because it is not an office entrusted to us by man, but an office that God has given us through the church.
Therefore, it is called priesthood. It is a holy office. God has made us holy and has given us the opportunity to work for the church and for the expansion of the kingdom of heaven.
The position and value of a person's existence is determined by what he or she works for. A person who knows only money and works only for his own convenience is called Sujeonno. Or call it selfish. He is also said to be like a beast.
However, those who sacrificed themselves and served their country and people are called loyalists or patriots. Also called national merit. On the other hand, people who live to satisfy their self-interest, no matter what the country or people are for their own achievement, are called traitors or tycoons. In this way, what a person lives for will determine the person's character.
God's workers are not people who work only for one country. The workers who work for God are precious volunteers who work for the whole world. They are workers who work not only for the body, but for everything in this life and in the life to come. In fact, they are the workers recognized by Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth. You must remember this.
As callers who have been called by God, we must be thankful for the office we have received. You must be thrilled. You must have a sense of duty. You have to be proud. You should be proud of it. The office that God has given to such people is a blessing.
It will be a blessing. It becomes a joy. In fact, God has promised grace and blessings to those who fulfill this position well.
For those who have properly and faithfully fulfilled the priesthood entrusted to them by God to this day,
There is no one who has not been blessed. Whether we look at the history of the Bible or through the history of the church, everyone not only received the blessings of God, but also passed on those blessings to their children and grandchildren.
The office of office is the Lord's desire for all of us, and it is the duty and mission of Christians. And if I could add one thing, it could be said that it is a channel for giving us grace and blessing.
A board of directors literally refers to a gathering of various officers of the church.
So, the deacons are the workers who serve the most in the Welfare Society. As a result, the number of butlers became the largest.
Today, in particular, I would like to consider the role of a deacon among many service positions.
If you look at the origin of the title of 'deacon', it did not exist in the Old Testament times, and at that time all finances for the temple were managed by the Levites or priests.
And when it comes to relief, he encouraged individuals rather than churches.
However, in the New Testament, the church was gradually revitalized and at the same time there were various problems and difficulties regarding salvation, so the apostles followed the synagogue rituals and set up deacons to serve.
As such, the origin of deacons was that the apostles could not afford all of them due to the rapid revival and development of the church, so the apostles had nothing to do with the Word and prayer, and the deacons were established to serve in financial management and almsgiving.
If you look at today's text, as the church brought about a lot of revival, there were a lot of things to be saved. So, because the relief for the Hellenistic Jews and the Hebrew Jews was not evenly distributed, complaints and complaints arose.
So, I chose seven people who were praised because they were full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, and these were the deacons of the early church. These deacons were chosen and the apostles placed their hands on them, so they are called ordained deacons today.
However, since the number of ordained deacons is not large, the session selects and establishes a staff equivalent to this.
We must keep in mind that we must not forget that the office of the church is always established by God. So, it's something I can't do on my own.
The deacons of the early church did not volunteer to become deacons themselves. it is chosen. But when I was chosen, I did not decline or refuse to say no.
I just obeyed.
In the book of Jeremiah, it says woe to those who try to take off the yoke that God has put on them. There are two reasons for this. One is that God-given positions are neglected more than the world's. The other is disobedience to God's commands. Therefore, when He fills the yoke, we must accept it and obey it because we give thanks.
And one thing to remember is that there are people who have been chosen, so there will be people who did not receive it and fell out. However, no one felt sad that they were not elected.
The reason is because they believed that God did it through the saints.
Therefore, when it comes to the priesthood, no one should be too proactive in his or her willingness to do so, nor should he be overly reluctant.
Once you have been appointed through the session, you must know that the Lord has called you and show your loyalty with a grateful heart. If you do that, God will give you the grace and blessings you can handle.
Now, we are going to tell you, based on the Bible, what the office of a deacon is like in order to properly take on this blessed and precious office.
There are only a few places in the Korean Bible that are called ?쏪apsa??
Romans 16:1, Philippians 1:1, and 1 Timothy 3:8. However, from the point of view of its etymology, its meaning is so vast and profound. In a broad sense, it is no exaggeration to say that all the staff of the church are deacons. Because, literally, a butler is a person who works. In a word, it means to serve.
So, the word butler was used to mean 'servant' or 'servant' and 'worker'.
In John 2:5, ?쏦is mother said to the servants, ?쁗hatever he tells you, do it.?쇺?This is what Mary, the mother of Jesus, said to the servants at the wedding feast in Cana.
Therefore, church officers must always remember to serve with the heart of a servant on errands. A servant must absolutely obey his master. 'Do whatever you hear them do.' This is the right attitude for church service, which means obedience and humility.
And no matter how hard a servant works, he should not expect anything in return or ask for praise. So Jesus spoke in parables in Luke 17:7-10. It says, "Which of you has a servant who plows or shepherds the sheep, and when he returns from the field, is there any one who says to him, 'Come, sit down and eat right away? Afterward, shall I not tell you to eat and drink? Will you reward your servant for doing as he was commanded? In the same way, after you have done all that was commanded you, say, ?쁗e are unprofitable servants, we have only done what we were supposed to do.
This is not to say that there are no rewards. God has promised great grace and rewards to those who work and serve. It is saying that you will participate in the joy and glory of the owner. It's just that the workers are not supposed to be workers because of certain conditions.
And in Matthew 22:13, it is especially compared to a servant who serves before the king. Therefore, the God-given ministry is a ministry of glory and a ministry of blessing.
Everyone! It is not necessary to say that the priesthood is compared to the positions of the world, but if it is for the sake of understanding, it is actually a more honorable position than the office of president or minister. do you believe
That is why 1 Timothy 3:13 says that those who do well in the office of deacons will acquire a beautiful position.
And deacon means steward. A steward is a person who takes charge of the owner's property and manages it well. So, you don't even have to pretend to be the owner. Also, don't do it on your own or on your own. To the end, do not forget that everything belongs to the master, and only follow the master's will.
Now we know that we need to take another look at what qualifications a deacon should have. The reason is that we want to get to the level God wants us to be. It is specifically recorded in Acts 6:3 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13.
1). You must become a worker filled with the Holy Spirit and wisdom.
There is no other way for us to be like this. You must be zealous in prayer, the Word, and the work assigned to you. The Lord's work cannot be done without prayer, and without the wisdom of the Word, it cannot be done right away. In fact, if this problem is solved, all other qualifications are incidental. If you meet this one qualification well, all other problems will be solved automatically.
2). Be a person to be praised.
We must receive praise within the church, and we must receive praise and recognition outside the church.
3). You must be a neat and non-verbal person.
Your words, actions, and life should be neat. And once you say something or make a promise, you must be the one who keeps it.
4).Alcohol and tobacco should not be in the mouth.
5).Do not covet dirty teeth.
All unrighteousness, iniquity, and iniquity come from coveting the unclean.
6).You must have a clean conscience.
In other words, it refers to a heart that has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. A conscience without shame.
7). One must have the secret of faith.
This refers to those who clearly understand the way of salvation and have confidence in the Word of God.
8).You must become a person who is not to be blamed.
And about the female butler, three things are added.
1). Be a non-accuser.
This refers to arguing with words that do not exist. Not only that, he is a person who likes to sniff out other people's small faults. We need to get rid of this evil habit.
In fact, accusation is one of the attributes of the devil.
2).You must be a moderator.
In other words, too much of a good thing is harmful. In a proverb, too much praise is said to be an insult. Therefore, there must be moderation in speech and life.
Don't say anything rude except for what you need to say. He is frugal without abuse or luxury in life.
3). You must be a loyal person.
Dear saints, We hope that the officers of Loongshin First Church will be loyal workers who value the God-given positions the most, receive them with gratitude, and serve with a sense of duty and joy. So, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may receive praise and approval before God, and receive all of God's promised graces and blessings.
