On the way home 2010.09.19. Sunday 2 Corinthians 5:1-3
There is a song that every Korean person sings at least once. Every year on a holiday like scissors, there is a song that people who visit their hometown sing. It was composed by Nosan Lee Eun-sang, sung by Kim Dong-jin, and is a song called ‘Gopa’.
“I can see the blue water in the sea south of my hometown
Will you forget in my dreams, that calm hometown sea
Even now, those waterbirds will fly. Go, go, go, go.”
Dear all!
The road to hometown is not smooth. There is a traffic jam. You have to go through hours of suffering. It's hard and painful. However, the joy of arriving at the hometown that you have always dreamed of will help you overcome this pain. Our life journey is hard, but we live with joy and hope because we believe that we have the glory of heaven. What awaits you in your hometown is rest and plenty of food. What awaits us in heaven is glory, reward, and eternal rest. In Revelation 21:4, we testify about the rest in the kingdom of heaven. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more; there will be no more mourning or crying or pain, for the first things have passed. Living on this earth as a foreigner or a sojourner who stays for a while. What if living by faith is a little difficult and painful? I'm on my way home We are really happy people who have secured our eternal home, the Kingdom of Heaven, through faith.
