Title: Once a Day

once a day

Bible: Psalm 90:12

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”

Time passing by without doing anything is truly a waste of time. Those who live each day thinking that life is just given, spend the day without thinking and become lazy. However, a day that God gives is truly a precious day. Because a day becomes a year and a life becomes a lifetime. Schopenhauer said, "A day is a small life. Waking up every day and starting the day is a new birth. After passing through adolescence like a new morning, the hour of death, when you have to lie down and sleep, is approaching," said Schopenhauer. Most people spend their days in vain. But God, who gave us the day, settles the account. You won't miss out on how you used your day. Therefore, we should live each day to the best of our ability, and we should live by giving thanks to God for giving us each day.

Everything that God gives is free, but its value is invaluable in terms of worldly money. Therefore, a day that God gives is a bonus and the best gift. I am very happy to receive the bonus of the world, but it is very sad that I do not have the gratitude and emotion that I have been given one more day of life. Let's live each day worthy of life. That there is a day is hope, joy, and peace. Do you not want to use the day God has given you according to God's will? Still, if you use your feelings and emotions indiscriminately because of the illusion that the day is yours, it would be disrespectful to God, the true owner.

If the day given today is not prepared for tomorrow, today is of no great benefit. "Just as a well spent day makes a happy sleep, so a well spent life leads to a happy death." Leonard da Vinci's words. The God who gave us the day not only watches over the life of the day, but also wants to accompany and help. It is really reckless to live a life that forgets the existence of God in one day. Because it is God who gave the day. The living God wants to meet you today through Jesus.

“You have made my days as wide as my hand, and my whole life is as if nothing before you; for the time when everyone stands firm is truly in vain” (Psalm 39:5).

Let's take a look at what we must think and do at least once in our lives.

Take time once a day to think of God and the love of Jesus who died on the cross to save you.

“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, before the years draw near, when it is said that I have no pleasure” (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

At least once a day, have a dream of becoming a person of faith that is pleasing to God, such as Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Samuel, and the apostle Paul, the father of faith in the Bible.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith, so that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

At least once a day, feel precious as a child of God.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the goodness of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9).

At least once a day, have the thought that you will not live for yourself, but for the Lord.

“If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:8).

Worship at least once a day.

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).

Look through the Bible at least once a day and meditate on it.

‘Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, meditate on it day and night, and observe all that is written in it to do it. Then your path will be smooth. You will prosper.’ (Joshua 1:8)

Take time to pray and evangelize for others at least once a day.

Together with the women, Mary the mother of Jesus, and the brothers of Jesus, they devoted themselves to prayer (Acts 1:14).

Take time to praise once a day.

“Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises to God with the harp” (Psalm 147:7).

Take time at least once a day to think of your neighbors in need.

“Consider the prisoner, as you also are in prison; and, since you also have a body, consider the oppressed” (Hebrews 13:3).

At least once a day, like the main character in a movie, enjoy a wonderful day, rejoice and be grateful.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16).

At least once a day, you need a relaxing time. A time to put everything down and relax like a child. A light time to let go of worries, hate, and wounds. A warm time to love and be loved. A time to dream of the future and beat your heart. You need that time at least once a day. Time and opportunity once passed cannot be returned, and time and opportunity do not always wait.

'There is a season for everything, and a time for all things under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance There is a time to throw away the stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to refrain from holding; a time to seek and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to forsake; a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak; a time to love. and a time to hate, and a time to war, and a time to peace' (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

How you spend your day determines the overall direction of your life. Let's have the wisdom to use the time of the day wisely without sparing a sweat.
