Title: Once saved, forever saved

Content: Once saved, saved forever

(John 6:37-40)

Introduction:

1. The doctrine of salvation in the Bible is indeed an important doctrine.

2. If you believe, teach, or follow anything other than the Bible, even if there is only one important content in this salvation doctrine, you will be excluded from salvation and appear as a clear heresy.

Main subject:

If a person hears the true gospel of Jesus' salvation and truly believes in Jesus and truly repents, he is saved at that moment, and is born again as a child of God. It is the teaching of the Bible.

When Peter, who had been saved, denied Jesus three times, his salvation was canceled, but he went out and wept bitterly, and then he was saved again.

Even when Peter denied Jesus three times, even when he repented, and even after that, he was saved.

Then, for what reason can a saved person temporarily deny Jesus? The answer is "yes". Can a saved person also sin? The Bible's answer is "yes".

Because Peter denied Jesus not because he was not saved, but because he was saved, but was tempted by Satan, and there are countless evidences in the New Testament that Peter was already saved before he denied Jesus three times. The confession of faith, Jesus' praise for this, and the fact that he remembered Jesus' words and wept bitterly after he denied Jesus is good evidence that he was already saved before he denied Jesus. Read Matthew 16 in detail Studying will give you a great insight into this.

If a person is truly saved and becomes a child of God, that person's salvation cannot be canceled or destroyed forever under any circumstances (1 Corinthians 5:5, John 6:37-40).

The question is whether you are truly saved or not.

Does this mean that if I am saved, I can sin and live my life as I please?

This is absolutely not. Such a person may be mistaken about the fact that he or she has been saved. If a person who is truly saved lives and dies like that, he or she is saved, but leads to shameful salvation, and there is no reward. You will receive it. Of course, it is a rebuke that comes down because you are the child you love. (Hebrews 12:5-8)

After being saved, whether or not to live right in the words of Jesus is not a matter of the cancellation or extinction of salvation, but a matter of sanctification. It is not a matter of eternal life, but a matter of reward.

therefore

“He who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13)

“He who endures to the end will be saved” (Mark 13:13b)

“Work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil. 2:13).

At first glance, the words seem to be misunderstood as the salvation we have already received through faith can be revoked and we can be misunderstood as we gain salvation through our works, but salvation is only by the grace of God (Eph. ,9), therefore, these words should not be interpreted as such, and in view of the fundamental salvation doctrine of the Bible, these words must be interpreted in the context of the sanctification of those who have already been saved.

This is because in the Bible, there are clear words of salvation for those who believe but do not live as saints, that is, those who cannot endure and live with fear and trembling, even though they are shameful. (1 Corinthians 3:15, 5:5, 1 Peter 4:18)

Therefore, the words of Matthew 24:13 and Mark 13:13b, Philippians 2:13 say that no matter how hard and suffering as a saint in the last days, endure to the end, endure to the end, and live as a saved saint with fear and trembling. It should be interpreted as giving the Word so that we may not be ashamed or narrowly saved, but so that we may obtain complete salvation.

Therefore, these words say that if a person who is saved does not endure to the end, if he does not endure to the end, if he does not live with fear and trembling, the salvation he has received through grace will be canceled, or that the unsaved will endure to the end, endure until the end, fear and trembling If we live as a Christian, it does not mean that we will be saved by his works.

Or, Jesus did not say that the salvation completed by Jesus is lacking, so we should fill it with our own strength and make it a complete salvation.

Regarding this, if you deeply study the context of 1 Corinthians 3:15, 1 Corinthians 5:5, 1 Peter 4:18, you will understand the meaning clearly.

What incomprehensible, non-biblical absurd consequences could result if salvation, once obtained, could be revoked through the fault of the saints?

We can easily imagine this,

First, the eternal life obtained through salvation is not eternal life.

Second, the believer cannot have the assurance of salvation.

Third, until a believer dies, it is impossible to know at all whether he is the one who will be saved.

Fourth, until a saint dies, he does not even know whether he is a child of God or a child of the devil.

Fifth, the countless words of the New Testament concerning salvation cannot be interpreted.

Sixth, it means that the number of being born again, that is, being saved, can be innumerable.

Seventh, after becoming a child of God, you become a child of the devil again, and you can become a child of God, and you are in the midst of spiritual chaos that you may become a child of the devil.

Eighth, you will not be able to enjoy the spiritual joy of being saved as a child of God on this earth.

Ninth, we do not know what the gratitude of the soul is, and there is no gratitude.

Tenth, you can call God “Father” but sometimes you can’t call Him “Father”.

Eleventh, it denies the biblical truth of the indwelling and perseverance of the Holy Spirit in the saints.

Therefore, according to the truth of the Bible, it is the teaching of the Bible that once one has been saved by faith through the grace of God, that salvation can never be canceled as eternal salvation. (John 1:12-13,3;16, 5;24,6;37,39,40,44,47,51,54,57,11;25,26.Ephesians.2;8-9th Days.5;11-13,20)

Hebrews 6:4-6 is often used as a word of the Bible used by people who claim that salvation can be revoked.

They are talking about the unbelievers in the churches such as Ananias, Sapphira and his wife, Nicolas, and Judas Iscariot, those who pretended to be saints and appeared to be unbelievers, such as false brothers, false teachers, and false prophets.

conclusion;

1. There is only one physical birth to be born as a child of a physical father, but only one spiritual birth to be born as a child of Heavenly Father. Our souls are born again once, not twice or three times or countless numbers because the new birth is cancelled.

Salvation can only be received once, and because it is canceled, it is not necessary to receive it two or three times or more.

2. You must discern whether the salvation you have received is true salvation, that is, the salvation that the Bible speaks of, and if you are truly saved, give thanks to the Lord and obey the Lord's Word to receive salvation without shame and to receive a glorious spiritual reward You will have to be faithful to Jesus through death.

3. To claim that salvation can be revoked is to deny the blood of Jesus on the cross, and to deny salvation itself and eternal life (eternal life) obtained through salvation. How terrible is this evil? This is a heretical doctrine of dreadful salvation.
