Title: One Heart (Daniel 06:3-10)
Contents 1. Unlike our lives, which change twelve times a day, we often find people who are single-minded in history. In particular, Goryeo loyalist Jeong Mong-ju showed his loyalty to the Goryeo dynasty through his Dansim Song (丹心歌). Some say that he does not understand the circumstances of the times, but his attitude toward living with an unchanging heart is something everyone can imitate. Let's recite his simple song. (This body dies and dies, heals a hundred times and dies/ The bones are exhausted and there is no soul/ One-sidedness towards you, will you ever go away?) Also, Dr. Sakharov of the former Soviet Union, as a nuclear physicist, was seriously considering the problem of nuclear proliferation. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for participating in the Civil Rights Movement. However, when the authorities obstructed his departure, he vowed to use his unique position to launch an anti-establishment human rights movement as long as he lived. His efforts eventually contributed to the democratization of the Soviet Union by forming a group of free-thinking people with a conscience called Volinomisleyastuye. It must be clearly remembered that morality is more precious than material things, and that only freedom of conscience can be the basis for social development.
2. We learn the attitude of Christians through Daniel's faith in the Bible. Those who serve God learn his unchanging deeds. A life that does not change even in the face of the crisis of death tells Christians what the meaning of faith is. According to the Bible, other prime ministers and many dignitaries were jealous of him and tried to trap him, but Daniel's faith remained unchanged and he continued to pray to God as he had done before.
This unchanging faith is important to us. A Christian must not change his mind toward God. (Verse 10) God gives us every good thing and every perfect gift, and He does not change His heart toward us (James 1:17). But is our heart unchanging toward God? The voice of God is Jeremiah. It is filled with the language of love as in the book of Revelation (Jeremiah 31:3). But, like the Ephesians, do we not forsake our first love for God and live (Revelation 2:4-5)? I can't.
Also, Daniel remained loyal to the king. (Verse 4) Are we pursuing a life of sacrificial life for the sake of the people and the nation today? The general duties that are not in conflict with faith today must be properly performed. Do we not often do things that go against our faith just because the reality is hard and difficult? However, the Bible teaches that there is a way to triumph over the present difficulties (Revelation 2:10). Loyalty is not far from the crown of life. God is truly pleased with an upright faith with an unchanging heart. God is eternal and unchanging (Daniel 6:26).
3. This single-mindedness for God and a righteous leader must not change, even if it is harmful (Psalm 15:4). It can be said to be true faith. This unchanging faith leads to unchanging love for the Lord (Ephesians 6:24) and becomes the secret of blessing.
God does not change his beautiful will for us, he does not lie and gives hope. Can you keep it? The prophet Habakkuk sang his faith like this. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though there are no cattle in the stalls, I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. (Hab 3:17-18) In the end, Daniel revealed the glory of God, and on the contrary, he enjoyed greater power and joy.
Unchanging faith causes the amazing work of turning man into man, and turning God into God.
