Title: One Man Has Two Sons
Contents
The word of Christ, the gospel, is the word of the Father, who sent him in the flesh into the world. As it is written, “He who does not love me does not keep my words; the words you hear are not mine, but the words of the Father who sent me” (John 14:24). It has been given to us, and they have received it, and they know that I come from you, and have believed that you sent me” (John 17:8).
Among the words of the Gospel, “.... What do you think? A man, having two sons, went to the first and said, “Son, go and work in the vineyard today.” He answered and said, “Father, I will go.” He did not go, but went to the second son and said, And he answered and said, "No." After that, he repented and went away. Which of the two did his father's will? He said, "You are the second son." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, tax collectors and prostitutes entered the kingdom of God before you. I will go in” (Matthew 21:28-31).
These words were written by the apostles of the Lord, “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in the same way death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12). It is the same as the testimonies of ) and again, “just as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience the many will be made righteous” (Romans 5:19).
In the Gospels above, “a man, having two sons, went to the eldest and said, “Son, go and work in the vineyard today.” He answered and said, “Father, I will go.” He did not go, but went to the second son and said the same thing. Afterward, he repented and went away, which of the two did the will of his father?” He meant to choose a son to inherit the vineyard.
It is commonly known that it is a servant, not a son, who “works in the vineyard.” However, if you want to become an heir of your father's vineyard, you can't manage the vineyard without going to the vineyard and following the servants of the house, wearing the servants' uniforms, and working with the servants in the vineyard. I will eat it all with you.
The vineyard is the world, and its owner is the only true God, the Eternal Father. Therefore, the son who was worthy to become the father's heir and inherit his father's command and to do his will, took on the body of a servant and came into this world. “While he was in the flesh, he offered up supplications and supplications with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him, and was called by God high priest after the order of Melchizedek” (Hebrews 5:7-10).
Therefore, the wise father's command to his two sons, "Son, go and work in the vineyard today" is the word of judgment to choose the son who will soon be the heir. For this reason, in the words of the gospel, there are words that consist of the resurrection of judgment, and there are also words that consist of the resurrection of life. So, there is Esau, who sold his birthright to a bowl of red bean soup, and there is also Jacob, who endured hardship and became Isaac's heir by following the words of Rebekah mother. “As it is written, I loved Jacob and hated Esau” (Romans 9:13).
Therefore, to the children who will heir with his son Christ Jesus, “If children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, for we must suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him” (Romans 8:17). ) was recommended.
Therefore, unless you leave the place of the Son and come to the place of slavery, you will never receive the glory of heirs with Christ with Christ. Such are the punishment of everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord and the glory of his strength” (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9).
Therefore, he said to the people of Christ Jesus, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God to be robbery, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant. And being made like men, and being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross. For this reason God highly exalted him and gave him a name that is above every name, in heaven and on earth and under the earth. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:5-11).
“He who is looking into the perfect law of liberty is not the one who hears it and forgets it, but the one who does it, and this man will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:25). Amen, thank you Lord.
