Subject: You of Little Faith
Word: Matthew 14:22-33
“Jesus immediately urged his disciples to get into the boat and go to the other side while he was sending the crowd away. After sending the crowd away, he went up by himself to the mountain to pray. He was alone there at sunset, but the boat had already left the land for repairs, and the wind blew against the wind. Therefore, he suffered from the waves. In the fourth quarter of the night, Jesus came to his disciples walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were astonished and cried out in fear, saying that he was a ghost. But Jesus immediately said to him, “Take it easy. Do not be afraid.” Peter said. And he answered and said, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come over the water." And he said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to Jesus. And he said, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately stretched out his hand and took hold of him, saying, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind stopped. The people in the boat bowed down to Jesus and said, "Truly, you are the Son of God." He said”
<Introduction>
Today, I will share the grace of Jesus with the words of Jesus, “O you of little faith.”
<Body>
1. Seek the Word
You must seek the word of the Lord.
Romans 10:17 says, therefore, that faith comes by hearing, and hearing is by the word of Christ, that is, by rhema in Greek.
That you abide in me and my words abide in you is what the Bible says when the word enters your heart as my personal gift, "Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
2. Look only to Jesus
Then, everyone, when Peter was walking on the water, he had to look only at Jesus and walk. No matter how much he received the word of the Lord and acted with faith in his heart, when he walked by faith, he had to focus on Jesus and go out, not looking at the environment and being afraid. There are many factors that distract you. When we try to go out in faith, negative circumstances come and bring us anxiety and fear, and also negative feelings, negative experiences, knowledge, advice, and warnings. It is trying to make people stop looking at Jesus with their eyes raised and look at the environment and get scared. The devil is always trying to make his heart terrified by looking at the environment instead of looking at Jesus.
It is said in Matthew 14:30 that when he saw the wind, he was afraid and fell away.
If you look at the wind and the environment instead of looking at Jesus, you get scared. If you lose faith because you are afraid, you will fall into it. If we put fear in our hearts, we lose faith. You have to focus on Jesus and think only of Jesus. When we receive the rhema and go out by faith, we should always look to the cross and think of the me who was forgiven and righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ, and the me who became holy and sanctified through the blood, and the me who was healed and healthy through the blood. We have to think about the me who was freed from the curse through the blood and received the blessing of Abraham, and we have to think about the me who received the resurrection, eternal life, and heaven through the blood. Looking at Jesus, the southeast wind blows and the northwest wind blows, but it does not interfere. As the soul prospers, all things will go well, and you will be strong and have life, but you have to look at the perfect salvation that you have obtained abundantly and cry out in faith.
Psalm 103:2-5 says, “Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
We give to the Lord....
