Title: One Talent Complex / Matthew 25:14-30
1. Small is a sense of inferiority.
Here is the way our life becomes a foolish life. These are the appearances that boast only their size and lack of vitality. It is foolishness and it is not in the eyes of God. Why do so many of us like to stand out? Do you like big things? Because having a big one makes it easier to catch the eye of a lot of people. In other words, it is because I am easily recognized by those who have the power to use me. That's why I like big things and I like to show off. Because people only recognize it when you grow up... … But he who can only see the great is never great. Those who can see the small life are the big ones. God is great. God does not look at our size, but the life in our little things. God is the one who sees the spiritual nano world. In order to be accepted by God, we must focus on the small but vital parts.
Acts 13:22
When God chose David, it was not the time when David stood out in public. He acknowledged his appearance as a little shepherd taking care of the sheep in the field. Seeing his faithfulness as a small shepherd, he judged that if he had this level of life, there would be no problem in entrusting the flocks of Israel. Even though it was small, David, who was recognized when he had life, was greatly used before God. I hope that we too will become servants of faith recognized by God in the form of being faithful not only in size, but in life and even the smallest things. In that sense, having size and a sense of inferiority is the devil's test, the devil's temptation, and the devil's play. Even if it is small, I hope that it will be filled with vitality and become a servant of faith that is used.
2. Misconceptions about God
Looking at the person who received one talent, there was a prejudice against the master.
Matthew 25:24-25
Hymn 348 [I give you my life] verse 2 < I offer my hands and feet, Lord, accept
Be agile for your work.>
I love the confession that devotion to the Lord has made it agile for His work. If you have a heart of devotion, a heart of love, and a heart of loyalty, you become agile. It moves fast. Look at someone's hand movements. Look at that person's steps. Then you can quickly see whether the person has a heart of loyalty and devotion, or whether he has feelings of resentment, distrust, and rebellion in his heart. Let the world reveal your allegiance to God through your agile movements and steps.
Many of us have a one-talent complex. If you do not overcome this, you cannot be used by God. We can overcome the inferiority consciousness that we are too small when we are transformed into life consciousness, and if we experience the pouring out of God's warm love, grace, and fullness from false preconceived notions of God, our complex can be overcome and become a servant of faith that is used. will be
