Title: One thing I lack

Bible: Mark 10:17-22

Starting Point of the Word>>

This time is the one thing I lack”.

In today's text, a man came to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"

To that question, Jesus said, “You know the commandments, keep the commandments.”

But the man says.

“I have kept everything since I was young.”

Then Jesus said, "You still lack one thing: sell all that you have, give to the poor, and come, follow me."

Hearing this, this man was a wealthy man, so he went home with a sad look and sorrow.

Jesus caused him to leave because of one lack he had.

We must become saints who realize what one lacks in us while we live our faith life.

This is because one thing that we lack can become a failure factor that causes us to leave Jesus forever.

I hope that you and all of our members will realize one thing we lack today and respond appropriately to God's call for it.

Go to Word>>

So, what is the one thing we lack right now?

First, one thing we lack right now may be faith.

According to 1 Corinthians 13:13,

“Therefore, faith, hope, love, these three things will always be there”

said.

It means that there must be hope before love and faith before hope.

Without faith there is no hope or love.

Faith is the root, hope is the stem, and love is the fruit.

How can we gain faith?

According to Romans 10:17,

“Faith Comes By Hearing”

You said.

Faith is a gift of grace.

The words of Ephesians 2:18,

“By grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”

I did.

Even after going to church for 10 years, there is no progress.

Why?

They don't have ears to hear, they don't hear.

A Japanese researcher named Masaru Emato experimented with rice.

I put the same rice in a glass jar, and one said “I love you” and the other wrote “Damn you” and attached it.

And when I said "You damn son", it rots.

Depending on who you listen to and what you say, people are either broken or made.

It is a blessing to hear the word of God.

Those words make me prosper, but in order to be successful, I have to believe in God.

Jesus said that he who hears my words and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

A house without a foundation collapses.

Looking at the words of James 2:14 and 17,

“If you say you have faith and have no works, can your faith save you? Faith without works is dead in itself.”

said

In order to be good at anything, a person who sticks to the ‘basic’ well can do anything well.

Faith is the basis for a good life of faith.

Hebrews 11:6 says,

“Without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.”

said

Therefore, we must become saints who frequently check whether our faith is lacking or not.

So, if our faith is lacking, we should be able to build up our lack of faith by praying to God who gives us abundantly and overflows.

Second, the one thing we lack may be “love.”

The church in Ephesus is a church that has received a lot of praise.

Looking at the words of Revelation 2:2-4,

“I know your deeds and perseverance, and that you have not tolerated evildoers, and that you have revealed their lies by testing those who claim to be apostles, but are not, and that you have persevered and endured for the sake of my name and have not been sluggish. But is there anything against you? You have forsaken your first love.”

Says.

This verse points out that the church in Ephesus does not love God as much as it did at first.

In other words, the church in Ephesus has everything to nurture God, but one thing is lacking.

According to 1 Corinthians 13:1-3,

“If I speak in the tongues of men and the words of angels, but without love, I become a sounding copper and a chirping horn. It is nothing; if I give with all that I have and if I give my body to be burned, without love it is of no use to me.”

said

In the words of the angels, even if you give out all things, even if you have all knowledge, you are nothing without love.

There is one thing lacking in the church in Corinth in this verse: love.

All you need is love, but you can't do it without love.

I can live without love, but I cannot live without love.

Hate causes trouble everywhere, but love solves problems.

Lack of love creates negative emotions, negative emotions create serious personality disorders, and personality disorders make life a failure.

Negative emotions appear in people who have grown up without love.

It is caused by not being loved by one or both parents.

Love is a better teacher of life than any other teacher.

Love is the ultimate essence of human life.

Love covers many faults and is patient.

Nor is it rude, and prophecy ceases, tongues cease, knowledge ceases, but love endures forever.

Like this, no matter how much faith we have to move mountains, we are nothing without love.

I hope that you will become saints who restore the love that we lack today.

Third, one thing we lack may be “zealous”.

“He has knowledge and is a good person, but he lacks one thing!”, “He has all of them, but he’s not zealous!” If you hear these words, you will not be successful no matter what that person does.

No matter how talented you are, it's a big flaw if you're not zealous.

In Revelation 3:20-21, the Lord speaks to the church in Laodicea.

“I rebuke and discipline those I love. Be zealous, therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.”

Those who lack zeal are those who do not eat and drink with the Lord.

Jesus said he came to cast fire, and God came with fire.

The bush caught fire, but it was not extinguished.

God is also passionate.

Isaiah said in Isaiah 19:31, “The zeal of the Lord will accomplish this.”

It is that God will fulfill King Hezekiah's prayer to defeat Assyria, the enemy of Israel.

He will put a hook in his nose and a gag in his mouth to make him go back the way he came.

Jesus is also passionate.

He drove the merchants and beasts out of the temple with a whip, poured out the money changers, and overturned the tables.

The disciples who watched the scene remembered what they thought, “The zeal for your temple will devour me.”

Example>>

Se-ri Pak's glory did not happen overnight.

Since I was in 6th grade, I got up at 5:30 in the morning and went up and down the stairs on the 15th floor of the apartment five times.

I ran 6km every day and made 600 putts.

After 8 years of hard work, I became the LPGA Champion.

There are people who succeed and there are people who fail.

What sets it apart is zeal.

Success and failure depend on how much effort you put in.

The difference between selling one item and not selling is whether the other person has visited number 6 or number 7.

I was rejected, but I go back again. I go back up to seven times. I will look for you until I live.

Likewise, in the religious life, only a burning soul can accomplish much, despite many obstacles.

Zeal is passion and energy from God.

Those who accept Jesus will live fervently with zeal.

At the end of the speech>>

Everyone lacks one thing.

If you change the one thing you lack, your life will change and your destiny will change.

If you repeat it for 10 years, you become an expert, and if you repeat it for 20 years, you become a master.

With repetition, you get used to it and become extraordinary.

There is a rule of 100.

No matter how bad it is, you have to do it a hundred times.

Leeches have very little memory.

It is said that if you do it a hundred times with an electric shock device through which current flows, it will be learned.

How to train a leech is the one hundred training rule.

One thing I lack is faith.

I believe in God and I believe in myself.

Also love.

You must love God and love yourself.

And the one thing I lack is zeal.

It's about doing your best.

Zeal is a tireless force.

May God fill my one lack today.

In the name of the Lord, I pray that the amazing grace of God filling your one shortcoming will be with you at this time.
