Title: One Who Walks in the Holy Spirit
Contents
What is the Christian life? What kind of life should a believer live?
We are not living according to our own will, but living according to God's will and the teachings of the Bible.
That is why the life of faith is difficult if you try to do it according to your will and your own strength. It is difficult. Do it a few times and then stop. Because I'm trying to do it on my own. But they say that when you do it with the power of the Holy Spirit, you can follow the word of God.
In this verse, Paul tells us to be careful and act as wise men. The first thing to think about here is what it takes to become a wise person. What is it?
If you look in the market, there is a book that collects the words of famous philosophers such as Socrates and Confucius in the words of the wise men. Does reading a lot of such books make you wise? It doesn't.
To become a bearer of wisdom, above all else, you must be controlled by the Holy Spirit.
In other words, the Bible teaches people who listen to and obey God's Word and live a life of wisdom. So, wisdom has nothing to do with being smart or bad, studying well or not.
First, I must be controlled by the Holy Spirit and become a wise person first, so that I can plan my life wisely. Not money first, but first, I had to become a wise person, so that I could use the circumstances and circumstances given to me wisely.
Then, who is the wise person?
Those who have been prioritized. When priorities are set, we can use our 24 hours wisely.
As saints and people of God, what is the most important thing in our daily work?
If you think that the most important thing in your daily routine is meeting with God, you will start your day as a cutie. But if you don't think meeting God is very important, you'll just pass and do something else. If it matters, you are meant to do it.
The same goes for reading the Bible. If you can't do it in the morning in the midst of a busy schedule, the price you have to pay to secure that time later is too much.
In other words, doing it or not doing it depends on your priorities for the job.
So, a wise person is someone who knows what to do first and what to do later.
Also, a wise person is a person who saves time. This word means 'seize every opportunity', and it is an exhortation to find an opportunity in a given environment and not to miss it no matter what the sacrifice and cost involved. In other words, taking advantage of all the circumstances and opportunities given to me is to save time.
When will we evangelize? You have to think about how many people you have evangelized in your lifetime. If you are sick and fall ill, would you like to evangelize? Older than now, young people don't even listen. It is the same with helping others, and so is service. You should do it now when you can. The same goes for reading the Bible. If your eyesight gets worse, you don't even want to read the Bible. If you can't read the Bible, the only way left is to turn on a recorder and listen.
But as they get older, their ears become deaf.
Those who regret are the most ignorant. I am stupid
Why do we have to save time and live like this? What does it mean that times are evil?
That the time of judgment has come. Because the end is near.
Watch a basketball game. As the end time approaches, what about the team that chases? I try to make up for it by saving even a second no matter what. Why are you working so hard? Because it is TIME OUT. Because the game is over.
That's why in 17 it says, "Only understand what the will of the Lord is." It suggests that we must discern the Lord's will well and lead a life according to the Lord's will and bear the fruits God wants
A typical example of a fool is a drunken person. The Bible tells us not to live in lust under the influence of alcohol and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This is the present passive imperative. I'm not saying it's just one time, it's that you have to take
What are the results of being filled with the Holy Spirit?
1) Respond to each other with poetry and hymns and spiritual songs: we do not fight each other. We don't hate each other. that they respond to each other. It refers to smoothness in human relationships.
When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, our relationships become like this.
2) Thank you in all circumstances: 'always' indicates that you can be grateful no matter what situation you are in. Spirit-filled Christians realize and give thanks to God's grace and guidance in their circumstances, no matter how good or bad they are. Gratitude is a characteristic of saints, and thanksgiving can only be done by those who are united with God.
3) Submit to each other: When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we respect and obey each other.
It is to dominate Satan's attributes. However, the people of God are to obey, obey, and serve each other.
I pray that you live by the power of the Holy Spirit, not by your own strength and effort.
