Title: Only God/Jeremiah 17:7-8
Content Only God / Jeremiah 17:7-8
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and trusts in the Lord. A tree planted by the waters spreads its roots by the river, and he is not afraid when the heat comes; his leaves are green, and he has no worries in a dry year. It will be like a fruit that never ceases” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
In Chinese characters, the character 人 (人) is a figure of a person leaning against each other. Children depend on their parents, old parents depend on their children, and couples depend on each other to live. Some people rely on wealth, fame, power, and their own abilities. But everything in this world has its limits. Almighty Creator God knows no limits. Therefore, we must live by trusting, relying, and trusting only in God.
Human beings depend on anything other than God because they are exposed to uncertainty, fear, and limitations. A life relieved upon and surrendered to the world may be sweet and cool for a while, but it doesn't make it deep in the heart. There is a moment's pleasure, but you can't give yourself up for eternity.
We must leave all our problems to God. God solves everything that I cannot solve. When you entrust today's schedule, tomorrow's plan, and everything else, God will guide you on the good and blessed path.
You must not only depend on God, but also depend on Him. If the will is leaning on the body, the request is a consultation and a request. We pray and discuss everything we want to do and ask God for the whole process and result. In the text, it is said that God will bless such a person with a tree planted by the water. Even if it's hot or drought, there's no need to worry about the trees planted by the water. Because its leaves are always green and the fruit never stops. Since God has no shortage, there is nothing to worry about if you rely only on Him and rely on Him.
