but God made it grow
1 Corinthians 3:6-9
Today, the Lord emphasizes through His Word that no matter how much we plant and water, it is our God who only makes it grow. Rather, it says that when we become God's co-workers and work together to grow, the saints and the church of God become God's field and God's house and become the ground of growth.
1. I planted, Apollos watered;
Paul planted the church in Corinth. The church in Corinth was established with the gospel preached by Paul, and then Apollos explained and taught the gospel. Through this beautiful ministry, the Corinthian church grew. But a dispute arose. Behind all work is the work of God. It is that we have missed the fact that planting and watering are important, but ultimately meaningless without God's providence to make them grow. Therefore, if you have built it, ask for it to grow, but I want you to depend on the Lord, trust and trust. Then the Lord will lead you to grow.
2. Only God Made It Grow
Verse 7. “Therefore, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes it grow.” You used very extreme expressions. The one who plants or the one who waters is nothing. Such work means worthlessness. It does not despise Paul's work and Apollos' work, but it speaks of God's absolute sovereignty. Each growing church does not have very human programs or artificial efforts. In other words, it does not dazzle the taste buds with artificial seasonings such as Miwon. It is a fact that a natural revival is taking place through prayer movements with only the word, a natural seasoning, and by focusing on worship.
3. We are God's co-workers
